Title: Colour-blind
Rating: PG-13? Blood is mentioned. A lot.
Summary: Blood, blood, blood, there's so much blood Fai's POV after Kurogane cuts his arm off
Disclaimer: I don't own anything. CLAMP does. Really.
Author's note: I recently saw a coloured manga cut-out of one of the bloodier moments in the manga (not the one I'm writing about though :p) and it struck me that, really, the shading and the black and those pretty lines that add to the tension and the moment? That's /blood/ and it's /red/ and /striking/ ... and that sorta struck a chord. Silly of me to not realise it before (eheheheh... heh)
Blood, blood, blood, there's so much blood, blood on his clothes, blood on his face, warm and tangy and wanted-needed-nonono-worrying-dangerous and it's his blood and gods, what has he done what has he done and the world, his world, dies behind him and the hard ground comes at him and Kurogane crumbles and falls and (dies?) gods gods gods no and there are people and there is air and he's crying and crying and crying and they're his people and it's his country and it's his princess that comes at him and tells him not to worry and wipes his tears away and there is something wrong wrong wrong but Kurogane's breathing but Kurogane could stop breathing and there is blood blood so much blood and Fai prays and begs and hopes and wants as never before in his life.
And sometime, sometime later, he wipes the blood away.
