Disclaimer : I don't own KHR, Amano Akira does.

I created this at random. Supposedly for my English assignment in school. Somehow, the character's characteristics resemble Giotto ( I have no idea how my friend actually chose characteristics that would become the spitting image of Giotto - She's not a KHR fan )

But i decided to post this anyway! Complete AU, no relations to the real story. Just thought that a Child!Giotto may be interesting. But really, the only KHR character here is Giotto.

Anyway, on to the story!

"Giotto?" I frantically looked around. He was not where he was supposed to be. There was not a trace of him anywhere either. My grip on the two cones of soft-serve ice creams loosened, dropping them onto the ground. Where could he be?

Giotto had been wishing to go to this theme park for his birthday since a couple of years ago. This year, he was finally able to come. Only just a while ago, he was jumping around unable to contain his excitement. When he asked me for some ice cream, I had told him to wait for me on the bench. However, not a trace of him remains.

The colour drained from my face, a frightened look plastered on my face. Possible scenarios of what could have happened to Giotto flashed through my mind. My stomach churned as I was getting to the worst possible scenarios. Unable to continue thinking of where he could possibly be, I hastily ran around the park in search for my precious angel.

I panicked. Although I had checked every nook and cranny of the theme park and asked every person that I could, Giotto was nowhere to be found. No one had even caught a glimpse of him. Neither was there any trace of his whereabouts. Tears started to well in my eyes as I went around the area for the umpteenth time, trying to find him with my tear-blurred vision.

Just as I was about to give up hope, I heard the faint sounds of crying coming from the dark alleyway next to me. I ran into the maze-like alley to find the source of the crying. Every once in a while, I would reach a dead end and the sounds would become louder. I became desperate to search for who was crying, hoping that it was from what I hoped it to be. After what felt like an eternity, I spotted a small figure curled up in the corner of the dark alley. The sound of my footsteps had reached the small boy's ears and he looked up, tears streaming down his face. "Giotto!" I quickly ran towards him.

"Mom!" Giotto also picked himself up and ran towards me as fast as he could. I pulled him into a deep embrace, tears of relief falling from my eyes. "Thank god you are all right," I whispered into his ear. Giotto looked at me with his large, clear blue eyes that were shining in the faint sunlight. "Sorry, I was chasing after the cute kitten over there. Before I knew it, I was lost in this maze," he mumbled. A smile crept up onto my lips as I whispered back, "Just as long as you are okay, my sweet little angel."

I know, I know. This makes a better story as a normal essay. But i can't help thinking that the character resembles Giotto! Well, the name at that point is something that I decided to use instead of the first decided name, Allen ( non-anime related ), but i managed to get my friend to let me use Giotto.

Thank you for reading this trashy piece of work!

Thank you very much Mandy for some ideas!

PS: Red1707, you know who it is :3
