I was listening to Don't Stop Believin' one day - and had the thought that the start worked quite well for Merlin and Arthur - if i changed "girl" to "boy". So I decided to see how much of the song I could change to fit with the story of Merlin and Arthur meeting for the first time. This is the result. It's much better if you listen to Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" while you read it - seriously. Hope you enjoy :) PS sorry that the verses aren't split up - I've tried but I can't work out how to do it. If you listen to the song you'll be able to work out where the verses begin and end.

Don't Stop Believin' - Merlin Style

Just a small town boy

Living in a lonely world

He left his home to come to Camelot

Just a city boy

Born and raised in Camelot

He was just hanging out with his friends

A target rolling on the ground

Laughing people all around

Didn't want to start a fight

Bring it on, and on, and on, and on

Two boys, fighting

Through the streets of Camelot

Their maces, swinging through the air

Nosy, people

Watching Arthur get his ass kicked

By this, dumb brave stranger

Now he's stuck in the stocks

Everybody wants a chance

To throw fruit at poor Merlin

They think it's great

Merlin knows

It was dumb

To pick a fight with the prince

But how was he supposed to know

That stupid boy was the king's son?

Two boys, fighting

Through the streets of Camelot

Their maces, swinging through the air

Nosy, people

Watching Arthur get his ass kicked

By this, dumb brave stranger

Don't stop, believin'

Hold on to that feelin'

You are, two sides of a coin

Don't stop, believin'

Hold on

You are, two sides of a coin

Don't stop, believin'

Hold on to that feelin'

You are, two sides of a coin
