I watched as the sleek black body glided around above me, riding on the air currents, he was famous, the only known celestial dragon outside of china, his rider was captain will Laurence formerly of his majesty's navy. Honestly, so easily pleased.
The Chinese, so they say, are the worlds greatest dragon breeders, the Irish on the other hand don't have dragons, yeah right, we have dragons, we just keep them secret. My own dragon is called soilse go leor, his hide, unlike most dragons is scaled, each one is like a precious stone, and as hard as a diamond.
something else that sets him apart in appearance is his coloring, most dragons have solid blocks of color but sol has graduated coloring, diamond white on the most part with splashes of ruby around the eyes and on the end of his tale, a sapphire blue line running down his back with a similar shade on his underside, he is small compared to most, only slightly larger than the English grayling, not that size matters to him, he has power you could not imagine, he has magic.
Anatomically his only weapons are his small but powerful jaw and a boney ball on the end of his tale which he can swing with great force. The Devine wind however is only the beginning of magical abilities available to dragons with the power.
As we stand in silence my hand on the top of his foreleg we communicate a certain admiration for the beauty of the beast we are watching, as he lands we lift into the air to follow him to his clearing.
