A/N: Just a little bit of fluff between a redhead and a marine. Enjoy!
The former marine barged into her office as he usually did when something was on his mind, he watched her as a blank expression transformed into a dirty scowl. Her glasses were positioned halfway down her face- giving that old professor look.
God, she had changed since she was a probie agent. He noticed how the wrinkles denting her face were more noticeable. Flashing back to a time in Paris- He remembered how she looked so vibrant and young- fresh in her twenties.
"What do you want Special Agent Gibbs." She muttered not bothering to remove her eyes from the computer screen in front of her. Jethro slammed the door as he usually did in his style and strolled over to the table- pulling out a swingy chair and sitting in it as far back as possible.
"You know anything about the FBI taking over our case Director?" He asked quietly. But the redhead could sense the inch of hostility attempting to climb out in his voice.
"Oh, That." She said in a seductive tone. "I thought you would have known Jethro… Cases involving non-military outside of a naval base don't really account for our jurisdiction."
"He was murdered 5 metres outside of a naval base!" Jethro raised his voice as he sat up in the chair. Jenny eyed him over the top of the computer giving him the glare that she always used to give him back on their undercover missions.
"NOT our jurisdiction." Jenny stated firmly. Jethro shook his head and stood up from the chair- sitting on the table behind him.
"And you had to transfer it to Fornell." Jethro said in a foul tone. Jenny removed her glasses from her face and placed them pedantically on the desk in front of her- budget cuts would have to be put on hold.
"And your problem?" She asked as she tilted her head and raised an eyebrow. Jethro balled his fists together- he knew that she intentionally did this just to piss him off.
"It should be OUR jurisdiction Director. The guy could have wanted a message delivered to the Naval Base!" Jethro reasoned.
"Ducky concluded that his body was dumped there… He was murdered somewhere else Jethro. Let it go." Jenny said not wanting to divulge into the subject matter any longer.
The man walked up to her desk placing his hands at the end and leaned forwards- only mere inches away from her face. "You should have known better Jenny…"
The woman furrowed her brow and looked him in the eye- swirling green meeting cool blue. "You'd be wasting valuable resources… Not to mention MY time as well." Jenny said calmly, causing Jethro to tilt his head back in frustration- the woman annoyed him so much. "What were you hoping to get out of it? A promotion?" Jenny taunted.
He shot her the classic Gibbs stare that she knew so well and walked back towards the door- slamming it on the way out. "Just when I thought that door was finally being treated as a door…" She muttered to herself- putting her glasses back on and continuing to make budget cuts.
