Crow's Soul
As Yusei walked down the hallway, he noticed that Crow's bedroom door was open. Suddenly his curiosity perked up and he looked around, then slipped into Crow's bedroom.
He scanned in interior with his sharp blue eyes. Crow's room was rather neat. Much neater than Jack's, he knew. The medium height blackette walked over to the ginger signer's desk to inspect the item on it.
A few of the nicknacks on Crow's desk rather suprised Yusei. A book, well, actually a dictionary on birds lay open on the wooden desk, the subject being crows and ravens. (Anyone suprised?) His dueling helmet was also on there; a bottle of glue next to it. A piece had seemingly broken off; Yusei would have to ask his friend how that had happened. Perhaps it was related to the night when Crow walked in the door, battered and bruised, refusing to say one word about it. A pair of binoculars hung on the chair, and a small notebook lay open on it, a pen partially covering the words on the page. Unthinkingly, Yusei picked it up and began to read the thin, messy handwriting.

Today was such a drag! Nothing happened. Well, almost nothing. Jack; that buffoon, messed with my D-wheel! He broke the wing too! It took me that whole day to fix it! I did consider asking Yusei or Bruno to help me, but decided that they needed their sleep more than I needed them to fix my D-wheel for me. My D-wheel is my responsibility; I shouldn't go running to them everytime something breaks. Although Jack had no right to break the Blackbird! He has no idea how precious that thing is to me! It's my soul and spirit: my life! Pearson trusted it to me, no way is Jack gonna break the trust my friend put in me! I'm gonna get even on Jack, somehow, someway. He is not gonna get away with this!
It was only after the lead signer had finished reading that page when he realized he shouldn't have been reading Crow's private thoughts. Adverting his eyes from the page to avoid reading more, Yusei set the diary and pen down exactly as is had been and left it alone. The teenage boy turned his attention to the bed.
Crow's bed was neatly made, but a clump of wrinkles in the middle suggested that he had jumped onto it sometime after he had made his bed. His leather riding jacket hung off the bedpost. The drawer in the small table beside the bed was slightly open. Yusei jerked it wider for a better look.
The contents were uninteresting, mainly being a few pens, several sheets of crumpled notebook paper, and a deck belonging to the ginger haired signer. Yusei returned the drawer to its original position.
He looked around again, nothing catching his eye. Yusei turned to leave. A small screw fell out of a hole in Yusei's pant pocket, unnoticed by its owner. Yusei swept out of Crow's bedroom without a glance at what he had unintentionally left behind.
As the day flew by, and dusk arrived, Crow entered his room. The screw that had been carelessly left by Yusei caught his eye. The quietly chuckling teen picked it up, knowing that his friend had been there, inspecting his inner soul, and left, taking care not to disturb anything on his way out. The grey eyed boy looked out the window, suddenly wishing that everyone could have such a good friend as his.
