"Okay, but what I don't understand is why we keep sitting around on these couches!"
I crossed my arms. Something I did often, I realized. I wondered if it made me seem more menacing.
"There's nothing else to do," Cole replied, letting the video game controller fall to his lap.
"Ninjago has had peace for weeks," Zane added as he yawned and stretched. Did robots even yawn?
"I think I'm going back to sleep," Lloyd murmured. His hair was tousled and his eyes were droopy.
"But you just woke up an hour ago." I pointed out.
"Yeah, but Jay and I stayed up 'til 5 binging the entire Fritz Donnegan series."
"All 12 seasons."
Jay piped in with a similar, drowsy look on his face. He promptly fell over onto Nya, snoring.
"Uh, okay,"
Nya lovingly yet sternly pushed Jay off of her. The momentum carried him clear off the side of the couch. And there he lay, still snoring. Nya made eye contact with me. Her eyes told me we were thinking the same thing.
"I think this calls for some action. You guys! We're ninjas! We can't just be playing..." She picked up the remote from Cole's lap and squinted at the screen. "...Fornite all day long!"
"Well good thing I brought Call of Duty." Jay murmured into the carpet. Nya rolled her eyes.
"Look at you! We're all becoming lazy, and unless we do something about it we're going to be unfeeling couch potatoes!"
Zane lifted his head and looked at her with such quizzicalness, it reminded me of the time we tried to explain to him what "having someone's back" meant.

... So hey, I started writing this scene a while back but I never finished it. Feel free to use it as inspiration for fanfics or for your imagination. If you write the ending to the scene, PM me. I'd like to read it. :)
