Hinata heard a knocking on the door. Slowly she looked up at the clock, it wasn't dinner time so nobody was bringing food. It had been nearly two months since she had been captured by the Akatsuki. She knew she was being used as bait for Naruto, but she didn't know why they didn't take Sakura.
Don't get me wrong, it's not that she wanted Sakura in her place, it's just that taking Sakura would have made more sense. Hinata sighed. It had been two months, she blinked away the unshed tears, two dreadful months and no sign of Naruto.
The knock sounded again. It was louder and more impatient this time. The depressing thoughts took away all will to get up and comply. If who ever it was wanted in so badly, well they had a key.
A few moments later Hinata started to feel bad about ignoring the person so she opened the door. She peered out side, but didn't see anyone, (not that she expected to or anything) but when she looked down she saw a brown, fuzzy teddy bear with a red ribbon around its neck. There was a piece of paper attached to it as well. To: Hinata it read. She flipped the tag over only to find nothing else on it. Hinata could only stare as she tried to figure out who could have given it to her and why.
She had been kidnapped in late October. That made it sometime in late December. She didn't have a calander so she couldn't be sure or the exact day. She ran the red ribbon through her fingers. A smile slowly spread across Hinata's facce as it dawned on her why she had gotten it.
" Happy Birthday Hinata-san," Itachi whispered his hair loose against his shoulders.

TMD: If you didn't pick up on it, the ribbon on the teddy bear was Itachi's hair tie.
