It hit her like a ton of bricks. No, that wasn't the right way to describe such a feeling. It hit her like a warm breeze, blowing hard enough to catch her attention and make her stop dead in her tracks. All of a sudden, her head was filled with thousands of memories she didn't realize she possessed. Her heart swelled with a powerful, indescribably immense amount of love she never knew was there. And just like that, she wasn't just Mary Margaret anymore. She was…

standing in the middle of a street. Not one made of cobblestone, or gravel, or dirt…it was smooth and flat, unlike anything she had known before. And yet, somehow, she knew it. She knew the smooth surface rock was called pavement. Turning her head, she saw buildings unlike any cottage or castle she had ever laid eyes on…but again, she knew what they were, and that they were not an oddity in any way. Her old memories came flooding back in a rush, clamoring against those that were somehow her own as well. She knew where she was, and she knew where she had come from. She knew exactly who she was. She went by the name of Mary Margaret…

…and she was born with the name Snow White. Utterly perplexed and yet strangely calm, she started to walk aimlessly, simply allowing the puzzle pieces to fall into place. She was a princess who lost everything to her stepmother. She ran away, survived on her own, made many new friends and fell in love with Prince James, whom she called Charming. Together, they took back the kingdom and agreed to wed soon afterwards. The day they were married, her stepmother, Queen Regina, threatened the entire land with a curse that would end all happy endings. The only person who could lift the curse, it turned out, was the child she and Charming were expecting. An enchanted wardrobe was built to protect the child, and the curse overtook the land the day she gave birth to their daughter, Emma. The last thing she remembered was James running out of the room with Emma in his arms, determined to get to the wardrobe in time…

and then she was a teacher in Storybrooke. Every day was the same, but to her, that was normal. She went home alone every night and didn't care at all. She volunteered at the local hospital. She had breakfast with Ruby at Granny's each morning before her shift started. This little town in Maine was home. Nothing changed in Storybrooke…

…but now she remembered. She was Snow White.

Now she was back. She wasn't just Mary Margaret anymore. And if she could remember…

…everybody else must know as well. Suddenly, the urge to be with her family overtook her. She hadn't seen them in so long…

hadn't seen them for who they truly were…

…and she needed to see them, now.

She had to find Charming.

She had to find Emma.
