Uncertain Emotions
Disclaimer: I do not own Kuroshitsuji or the characters just my little plot bunny XD
It was that time of year again, the seasons had changed, and all the leaves had fallen from the trees. It was a time most people celebrated. The beautiful white and pure snow, the crisp air, and most of all the beautiful music and lights that adorn the town...however there was still one who did not share the others' joy.
Ciel loathed this time of year. It held nothing but painful memories and reminders of what he lost, but he still admitted to himself that even he could not resist the beauty of the falling snow, thus he was currently sitting at the window, his hand reaching out to catch the falling snow. He watched it almost seemingly mesmerized as it slowly melted. He shivered a bit, small white puffs of air leaving his lips as he started at the sound of his door being opened.
"Young Master. You know your asthma cannot tolerate such harsh conditions. Do please close the window and return to the bed." Sebastian said as he set the evening tea set and candelabra on the bedside table.
"Must you always nag?" Ciel said with a bit of a snappy edge, though he did as Sebastian said, closing the window, stalking over to the bed.
"Something seems to be bothering you Master. If you wish I will listen to you." Sebastian reminded him as he poured the tea, bowing slightly as he handed Ciel the cup.
Ciel looked down at the tea with a harsh glare. "You know very well why I am "out of sorts" Sebastian." he said sharply, but the sound almost as soft as a whisper.
"I do indeed, but do not forget there cannot be good without bad, but there can also not be bad without good. Perhaps it's time Young Master focused on the good rather then the latter." Sebastian said with a bow, receiving a glare from Ciel.
"That is enough! Do not presume you understand how I feel nor what I should or should not think!" Ciel said his eyes flashing a bit with mixed emotions of anger, fear, loneliness, and grief as he stared into Sebastian's.
"Of course. Forgive my imprudence." Sebastian said as he bowed, going to the door. "I just wish to remind you there iare/i people who are iherei that care for your well being." he said, giving a pointed look at the door as it was opened, which was greeted with a squeak of voices and flurry of footsteps down the hall. Sebastian smirked a bit before bowing and closing the door, leaving behind those final words.
Ciel looked back down into the now cooling liquid, shaking his head. "A demon would never understand.." he murmured softly to himself. He couldn't help thinking though.. that perhaps.. it just may.. be pleasant to have someone to whom he may confide in. The hard part would be the decision of weather or not he even wanted that kind of vulnerability.. could he continue how he had been till now if he allowed a weaker side to surface in front of others? He gave a suffering sigh and set the cup down, before laying back on his bed, his mind wandering as he let himself drift off into darkness.
