Loki was tossing and turning in his bed, he was having a horrible nightmare and he couldnt wake up if he even knew that it was a dream.
He had to watch Thor get beaten up and their mother die, he was stuck under a fallen pilar and Thor had tried to help him, Frigga had protected her boys when she was killed so after that Thor tried to attack the monster that was there but just got beaten to a bloody mess. Loki was screaming and crying while the monster was coming towards him after Thor was dead too.
Thor was walking back to his room after getting some watter and he heard Loki scream in his room, Thor just took off and ran to Lokis room and bursted in seeing his little brother in bed still asleep having nightmares.
''Oh Loki...''
Thor walked to Lokis bed and sat next to his baby brother slightly shaking him.
''Loki, Loki brother wake up. It's just a bad dream.''
Somehow Thors voice reached Lokis dream and he opened his eyes seeing Thor there next to him, alive, in his bed. Loki just hugged Thor and started crying more while Thor petted his hair and assured him that everything was fine and that it was just a bad dream.
''I-I watched mother and you both die a-and I almost died too, and and and…!''
''Shh baby brother, it's okay. Mother is alive and well sleeping and I'm here now, everything is ok.''
Loki hugged Thor tighter and sniffed while Thor stroked his hair.
''I can stay with you the rest of tonight brother, I'll make sure you will stay safe and no more nightmares come. I'm gonna protect you no matter what.''
Loki nodded at the idea and Thor wiggled under the covers with him and held his little brother close. Thor was staying awake as long as it took Loki time to fall asleep again and he stayed a bit wake after that too, so he could make sure that Loki wasnt gonna have that nightmare again.
The next day after they told Frigga what happened, she made Loki a little warrior plushie that would protect him from bad dreams. Loki used the little bit magic he knew to make the plushie to look like Thor so he would be protecting him every night.
