Shakened Quickening

Disclaimer: Something I got to thinking about after seeing that Legends Of Tomorrow clip involving Jesse. Its also clear the writers are screwing up certain things where Wally's concerned as come on now, he finds himself unworthy of her when he was shown trying to fight for them to be together? That just doesn't jive all that well and this is an attempt that tries to make sense of that and other nonsense.

Jesse wasn't one to like the feeling of being shaken as it reminded her all too much of her time as Zoom's captive. And she was definitely not too happy at the moment as she strongly felt that way right then and there. Jesse knew that her conversation with Wally couldn't have been a dream or a figment of her imagination as it felt all too real. Especially that damned foreboding feeling that had been with her as she talked with him. She didn't know where he was or what exactly was going on but it worried her over how shaken he looked. Their conversation had confused her too as they talked as it felt like they were talking about entirely different things. Things that felt like they were designed to break Wally's spirit and thankfully, he wouldn't let it happen but it certainly had hurt her quite a bit as he talked about finding someone one day that wasn't her. Jesse knew better then anyone that Wally wasn't some unloved failure and she had never meant to make him start to feel that way either. Guess I really should have listened to dad where Wally and I were concerned…

She had truly thought she was doing right by Wally in letting him go but now, Jesse wasn't even sure about that. Hell, now that she thought about it, it felt like that had been someone else's thinking more then her's and it wasn't something she liked. It also explained why Wally wasn't with her, Barry, and Jay during the nuclear bomb incident as well. Something's going on and whatever it is, its capable of using me without me being able to stop it. And its got Wally in danger wherever he is…

Making a decision, Jesse sped off for STAR Labs and straight to the Portal Room and headed for Earth-1 in the hopes the team and her father could help her out. Once she was there, the first person she saw was Cisco. "Cisco, where's Wally!?"

"Whoa! Don't get up behind a man like that!" Yelled an alarmed Cisco as he spun around with a mildly freaked out look on his face.

Causing her to wince. "Erm, sorry, Cisco, I'm just really worried about Wally right now."

"Uhh… You are? Cause no offence when I say this, but you did send the boy a break up cube that practically broke his heart to the point he left the team." He replied and she couldn't help but wince again.

"And you didn't find that strange? Cause I would have done that in person instead of sending a break up box."

Her earlier theory of something or someone doing things without her realizing it was gaining strength. Cisco stared at her for a moment as he thought it over. "Huh, you kinda make a point there. As you never did give me the impression you would be the kind of girl to break up over a text."

"There you go, and that's why I really need to speak to Wally. So please, please Cisco, please tell me where he is." Pleaded Jesse urgently.

Cisco gave her a regretful look that she didn't like the looks of at all. "I'm… I'm sorry, Jesse. But none of us really know where exactly he's at right now."

Her shoulders slumped at his words and it made her only worry even more. "You… You can't just call him?" Tried Jesse hopefully and imploringly.

"Considering he's traveling in time with the other Legends? That might be kinda hard to do. As it is, they've been dealing with some Totems thing that involves dead people who can't stay dead and their boss, Mallus. Which is kind of a lame name if you ask me as I could come up with something WAY better." He told her with an apologetic look.

"He's… He's traveling in time?" Jesse asked in return in a weak voice.

She wasn't sure about these 'Legends' that Cisco had mentioned but the fact the guy she loves and cares a lot for is in time was daunting. As he could literally be anywhere, anywhen right now. But then her mind focused on the Mallus thing Cisco had mentioned. "Cisco… This Mallus… Is he pretty powerful?"

"From what Sara's told Barry? Sure seems it."

"I see… That, that might explain how and why I was talking with Wally in wherever he's at before I came here. And how it didn't make sense at times, along with that really bad feeling that came with it all." Jesse said as she hugged herself.

Cisco frowned at her words and it had him thinking over things now that he'd been given more information. If this Mallus guy was capable of influencing them to do things they wouldn't without realizing it, then they were all in some very serious trouble. "I'm gonna need to make a call and see if he can help prevent Mallus from using you like that again." And help prevent that for him and the others as well…

Jesse nodded in thanks and went off to find her dad as she was in strong need of a hug from him in that moment.

Author's Notes: Good? Bad? Possibly something else? Keep in mind I don't know what all Mallus is entirely capable of do to my lack of keeping up with the LoT show so I'm taking liberties here.
