Sailor Moon V.M. Secret of the Lost Princess
Chapter One: "A New Awakening, Usagi Meets Yuzuki!"
"Hello, my name is Yuzuki Kage, I'm a 16-year-old girl who's just started at Juuban Municipal High-School, I have no friends or family, there's nothing special about me, except I have a secret... this is my story..."
It had been over six months since Galaxia's invasion and Sailor Moon saved the world, much of Tokyo had been rebuilt and life was slowly starting getting back to normal for everyone, well mostly everyone, but life goes on... The Sun was starting to slowly rise, signifying the start of a new day and the end of the mid-term school break. Though it was still quite early in the morning, a shadow danced across walls, following a pale skinned, raven-haired girl, wearing in a Juuban Municipal High School uniform who, apart from the obvious differences, she bore an uncanny resemblance to Usagi Tsukino, she even had the same hairstyle. The girl was hurrying to through the city streets when most would be either still in bed or just waking up, but today was special. The girl excitedly did a graceful hop skip and jump, noticing a stay ginger cat as she did so, she narrowly missed it as she landed, she turned to face the cat with a cheerful smile on her face,
"Aww, sorry about that, aren't you a cutie!" giggled the girl, the cat gave her a perplexed look.
"Oh..! I didn't mean to startle you kitty, I'm just so happy today, even though I'm 16, I'm going to school first time ever!" she continued cheerfully, The cat gave and an uninterested yawned before skulking off with its tail in the air, "Well excuse me, Princess..!" joked the raven-haired girl, poking her tongue out. She covered her mouth as if she did something really naughty and chuckled to herself, she then twirled around and skipped off to school, though you wouldn't know it, it was rare for this girl to feel this happy.
Suddenly a gust of wind randomly blow an old newspaper into her face, the girl looked at the cover, it' headline read, 'Star Lights to disband!'
"huh? oh, it's that group everyone liked a while back, I liked their music, not that I was that into them myself... I wonder why they quit?" the raven-haired girl muttered to herself throwing the newspaper into a nearby bin. she eventually reached the school gates, only to realize they were still locked, but at least she was the first one there. Leaning by the gate, she slowly closed her eyes and collapse to the ground, she fell into a deep asleep...
Memories began to flood her mind, sometime in the recent past, she was in a hospital/ care home where she had lived, she remembered her doctor telling her that somehow she had gotten stronger and more healthy in the last few months and that she was now strong enough to go to a proper school, being so shy, she was very nervous about meeting loads of students and teachers but the thought of leaving the hospital and learning new things excited her, she loved learning things, the doctor then warned her to be careful and take it easy, but the girl was too happy to care at that moment.
The memories changed, darker memories, it sometime during the invasion when only a few knew there was an invasion, the girl was taking a late evening stroll in the city, under a full moon, one of the few times she'd ventured away from hospital/ care home, something scary had happened, people were turning into monsters, the terrified girl didn't know what was going on, or what to do. Then, from the shadows, a short, white-haired young woman with mouse ears and tail, wearing a strange costume, approached her with an evil look in her eyes.
"Ha! for a moment there I thought you were someone else, regardless, I'm Sailor Iron Mouse and I'm taking your Star Seed!" growled the white-haired woman. as she crossed her two gold bracelets together, which then fired an energy disk at the raven-haired girl, which struck her before she could turn and run.
The raven-haired girl was paralyzed, her limp body floated in mid-air, Sailor Iron Mouse expected something to happen... but nothing... the raven-haired girl slowly lowered her head, her eyes still closed.
"Wah!? No Star Seed!? That's never happened before... Wh-what are you, who are you!?" gasped the now freaked out Sailor Iron Mouse, in confession.
Then, from seemingly nowhere... it appeared... not a Star Seed. whatever that was... but something else... a mysterious black diamond-like crystal, that had an eerie purple glow to it, materialized between raven-haired girl and Sailor Iron Mouse, it floated over towards the raven-haired girl and on reflex she held out her hands into which the black crystal fell, the raven-haired girl's eyes then snapped open and were now glowing bright red...
Back at the now open school gates and the present a crowd of students had now gathered around the raven-haired girl who was sleeping on the pavement, a tear single trickled down the girl's cheek, suddenly she sprang awake, the blinding sunlight hurt her eyes, wincing in pain, she whipped out a pair of mirrored sunglasses, she then took in her surroundings, to her horror she realized she was surrounded by a group of curious students.
"Eeep!" she yelped and scooted backward into some bushes and hid behind them *Pl-please don't look at me... there's no-nothing to see!" she squeaked nervously.
"She's so strange," said one of the students, "What a weirdo," said another
"Hey! leave that poor girl alone!" said a girl's voice angerly,
"you're all being so mean!" stated another, softer girl's voice
The other students then dispersed and entered the school gates, losing interest in the spectacle,
"Hey, are you alright in there?" asked a third girl, The Raven haired girl glimpsed a blonde with a red ribbon trying to peek into the bushes. she hid her face and started to sob sadly to herself
"Please leave me, I just want to be alone" she croaked, holding back the tears, "Are you sure?" asked the blonde gently The Raven haired girl nodded slowly, with a little sob
"We understand, if you want we can be your friends, we won't push you though" smiled the blonde girl warmly before leaving her, The Raven haired girl smiled to herself
"Hmm, friends... I'd like that" she told herself quietly, little suspecting the had her first encounter with three of the Sailor Guardians, Makoto Kino, Ami Mizuno, and Minako Aino. After a while, she plucks up the courage to peek out from the bush and after seeing all the other students had all gone in, she crept back out.
"Great first one here... last one in..." she groaned, turning away from the gates, she was unaware that someone was running up from behind her "I'm so scared to go in..." she mumbled to herself...
Meanwhile another Student was hurrying to school, late, Usagi Tsukino ran around the corner with her cat Luna in tow, she gleefully closed her eyes, humming to herself, happy at the thought that she'll meet up with her dear friends, with no alien threats since Galaxia, the last six months had been weirdly quiet, with little need for the Sailor Guardians, which was a good thing, yet there has been a small number of mysterious, unexplainable events recently... a new enemy perhaps?
"Pay attention Usagi, you'll bump into something!" chided Luna, worriedly.
Just then, as she opened her eyes, Usagi spotted the raven-haired girl, who was right in her path, facing away from her. Much to Usagi's surprise, the girl had the exact same hairstyle she did, she was so surprised that Usagi forgot to stop and she slammed straight into the raven-haired girl, causing the poor girl to fall face first back into the bushes again.
"Ooh. Ouch, I'm super sorry, I didn't mean to knock you over!" squealed Usagi apologetically, slightly dazed by what had just happened, she looks at the pair of legs that now comically stuck out from the bushes, "Errm, do you need help getting up?" she asked kindly.
"I... err... I'm ok... I think I'll just sit here for a while..." sighed a muffled voice from inside the bushes.
"Okay then, see ya later!" replied Usagi musically, with a friendly smile and with a shrug, she then skipped through the gates, she stopped for a moment, furrowing her eyebrows, glancing back, she gave a worried look, "is she really ok?" she asked herself guiltily, then with another shrug continued into the school.
The raven-haired girl sat back up and brushed herself off, "Oh no, I'm all dirty! I hope the rest of today isn't going to be like this!" she cried softly to herself, hearing a friendly and quizzical meow, she noticed a black cat with a crescent moon mark on her it's forehead and she reached over to pet it, Luna shivered, the girl's fingers were ice cold.
"Oh, another kitty cat, what a lovely birthmark you have, it looks like a moon, I love the moon, I've always felt so drawn to it" she smiled revealing a sharp protruding fang, which was quite cute.
Luna looked intently at the girl, she seemed strangely familiar and it wasn't just because she resembled Usagi, a lost memory perhaps? No... it couldn't be that, could it? Luna shook her head, trying this shake odd feeling, yet she sensed some great power coming from this girl, similar to that of the Sailor Guardians, but not quite the same, though there wasn't any sense of threat coming from her... but there was something very different about this girl.
"Oh no! I can't hide here all day, I'm going to late on my first day!" squealed the raven-haired girl, jumping up.
"Your first day, huh?" questioned Luna out loud, forgetting herself for a moment.
"Yes, it's my first day at school, yay!" giggled the girl enthusiastically, as if it was perfectly normal for cats to speak. surprised by this, Luna meowed in reply, trying to cover her mistake, "Well, I better get going, nice meeting you kitty" the girl added as she pushed her way out of the bushes, she rushed to the gate, pausing for a few moments, she gulped, then hopped through the gates and rushed towards the school buildings...
Watching this from the bushes, confused, Luna puzzled over what just happened "How peculiar, she didn't react to me speaking and that strange feeling I got from her, I wonder what it is?" she pondered, "Well she seemed nice enough, nice to have met you too" she purred with a smile.
In the classroom, the students were all gossiping about the new student, who wasn't there and what happened at the school gates. What was being said wasn't particularly nice, much to Usagi's and Minako's annoyance, finally, it was when someone called the new student a freak that Usagi and Minako both lost their temper, they stood up angrily and confronted the students that had crossed the line.
"How dare you say such horrible things about some innocent girl you guys don't even know!" shouted Usagi furiously
"Yeah, stop being so mean to her just because you think she's a little... different!" added Minako, slamming her hand hard on the desk.
Just then the teacher entered the classroom, Usagi and Minako quickly got back into their seats and the teacher began to speak, there was a tentative knock on the door and the raven-haired girl looking slightly disheveled, nervously peeked in.
"You must be our new student, please come in" greeted the teacher, the girl awkwardly crept over to the teacher and handed him a note, which he read.
"S-sorry I'm late sir, there was a slight accident this morning" apologized the girl uncomfortably "I promise not to let it happen again she added meekly.
"I Understand, I heard about your, umm, problem this morning, would like to intro introduce yourself, young lady?" smiled the teacher, gesturing to the rest of the class.
"M-my n-name is... my name is... um..." the trembling, terrified girl began, the class began to giggle.
The raven-haired girl, visibly trembling, stared at the class looking like if she was facing the Spanish Inquisition, her face normally pale face turned a shade of pink and she tried to hide 'aww, she's really shy, she's so cute' Usagi noted to herself, feeling sorry for her.
"It's okay, you can do this" reassured the teacher.
"I-I'm Yuzuki kage... I'm... new to this school... I'm n-not special or anything..." said the girl as if confessing some dark secret.
"Very good miss Kage, you can find yourself a seat" nodded the teacher, dismissing her as he then began to write something on the blackboard.
With a reluctant gulp, Yuzuki glance around, she dug her nails into palm until it bleeds as she walked by the row of desks.
"Hey! sit next to me! sit next to me!" shouted Minako excitedly, making Yuzuki jump out of her skin.
If Yuzuki was a cat she'd be hanging upside down, clinging to the ceiling, she quickly dived under the nearest desk, by coincidence it was the desk right next to Usagi.
"Ehhh, sorry Yuzuki, I didn't mean to scare you" whispered Minako, guilty of her misstep.
Usagi looked down at the trembling girl beside her who was crouching under the desk and noticed the blood on Yuzuki's hand.
*Ooh you're bleeding, here let me help" Usagi offered helpfully, speaking softly, gently taking Yuzuki's hand and wrapping a handkerchief around it, the two girl's eyes met, red and blue, strangely drawn to each other, a connection is made between them...
"I wonder if we can be friends...?" wondered Yuzuki to herself, not realizing she had spoken out loud.
"I love to be you're friend Yuzuki, I'm Usagi by the way, Usagi Tsukino" smiled Usagi warmly, a smile that could melt the coldest of hearts.
"Th-thank you...Usagi..." replied Yuzuki, blushing, she thought no one had ever wanted to be her friend before, the idea of friendship was a little scary, but this felt somehow different, a good different.
Yuzuki scrambled out from under and sat next to Usagi, sitting beside each other it was now clear how similar in appearance the two girls were, though there were obvious differences between them, most notably contrasting hair and eye colour.
"Wow, I like your hairstyle... It's exactly like mine" Usagi giggled cheerfully.
"I was about to say the same" chuckled Yuzuki in response.
"Oh, but I don't think that makes for a good accessory" added Usagi, pointing at something in Yuzuki's hair, "Wh-what do you mean..!?" gasped Yuzuki.
Usagi carefully plucked a twig, that was sticking out of Yuzuki's hair, "Ah, that's better" she grinned."Oh, um, thank you" blushed Yuzuki.
"Ooh, you're that girl from this morning, the one who-" Interrupted Minako, who was now standing in front of them, startling Yuzuki.
"Minako Aino! how many times do I have to tell you! get back to your seat!" rolling his eyes, the teacher roared crossly, having just finished what he was writing on the blackboard.
"Eek! sorry, sir!" jumped Minako, rushing back to her seat with an audible sigh.
"Don't mind Minako, she's often like that but she means well" whispered Usagi with her, flashing her trademark smile. Yuzuki glanced over at Minako, who happily gave Yuzuki a friendly wink and thumbs-up, Yuzuki blushed in response and shyly smiled back.
Several hours later, the teacher was droning on, something about H. G. Wells and War of the Worlds. Usagi, though not uninterested, was getting hungry, she looked at the class clock, hoping the bell would ring so she could have lunch. Suddenly there was a muffled thud next to her, making her jump, she turned to where the sound came from and saw Yuzuki had fallen asleep.
'Huh? she was wide awake and alert a moment ago', Usagi thought to herself, not that she wasn't guilty of falling asleep in class, but this was so sudden, was something wrong with her? she wondered, Usagi nudged her, but she didn't move
"Yuzuki... Wake up, the teacher will tell you off!" Usagi called, nudging her again, harder this time, again no reaction, Usagi started to worry and started to shake her, for a moment it looked like Yuzuki was about to awaken but her head merely flopped down, panic set it, the other students started to stare.
"Wake up! Yuzuki! wake up!" cried Usagi desperately, shaking her new friend, but she simply could not wake her up Usagi was panicking but she really wants to slap her for fear of hurting her newest friend, the teacher noticed this and rushed over, he looked concerned but didn't look at all angry.
"It's okay Usagi, it's okay!" he reassured Usagi, who was clearly upset
"Huh?" Usagi look at the teacher confused, "You're not mad at Yuzuki... for falling asleep... what's wrong with her? she questioned.
"Well, I can't say too much about it, but miss Yuzuki suffers from an illness... don't worry, it's not contagious, she just needs special care", explained the teacher. "Oh, Minako, go to the nurse's office and get some smelling salts" instructed the teacher, Minako nodded and ran out of the classroom.
"An illness...!" gulped Usagi, her eyes widened, her face turned pale "... She not going to... die, is she!?" she gasped and grabbing hold of the still sleeping Yuzuki, she started to cry.
"No, Usagi, she's not going to die... why would you even think that her illness isn't terminal, we just need to an eye on her" reassured the teacher.
"I'll look after her... that's a promise, sir..." stated Usagi matter-of-factly, with a sob as she wiped the tears from her eyes. Why did she overreact like that? She wondered to herself.
Her memory flashed to when the Sailor Guardians died and not for the first time while trying to protect her from Galaxia, Usagi shivered, though they were brought back, their deaths still haunted her, maybe she should talk to Luna about this? she pondered
"That's good Usagi, you do that... just don't overdo it, maybe she'll open up to you", smiled the teacher approvingly. Just then Minako burst back into the classroom and handed the bottle of smelling salts to the teacher
"Huh? that was fast, (considering the nurse's office is on the other side of the school), good Minako" said the teacher, she must have run really fast, as he took the salts. the teacher opened the bottle and waved it under Yuzuki's nose, the girl started to stir, opening her eyes, she blinked and looked around the classroom in confusion, then to her horror realized what was going on.
"Oh, oh no! God, I fell asleep again... I am so sorry... I really am!" she apologized, clearly distressed and embarrassed by what she did.
"It's alright Yuzuki, we understand, it's not you're fault... isn't that right Usagi" reassured the teacher giving Usagi a nod, Usagi nodded back in agreement.
Sure everything was fine now, the teacher walked away to continue his lecture, allowing Usagi a chance to talk to Yuzuki. Usagi watched Yuzuki, who blankly stared at her desk for a few moments before speaking,
"I'm not well... I... I... have this illness... the doctors don't even know what it is... I... sort of... spent most of my life in a hospital... I don't like... talking about it...but... one of the symptoms is... well... Narcolepsy, meaning I could fall into a deep sleep at any... time... and there's nothing I can do about it... unless... I" explained Yuzuki, sadly trailing off, Usagi suddenly felt guilty at all the times she fell asleep because of being up late.
"Hey, don't worry, we're friends now you can count on me being there for you, Yuzuki, it'll be my duty to take care over you," Usagi told her kindly, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"Umm, Th-thanks... but you don't have to" replied Yuzuki, forcing a smile, part of her wanted to scream she didn't want this, but she was too polite to say anything, besides she didn't want to offend the first friend she ever had.
"It's okay, I'll even keep some smelling salts on me, just in case, that's what friends are for, right?" grinned Usagi cheerfully. unaware how awkward this situation was for Yuzuki.
"Okay then, just don't ever use garlic, I'm seriously allergic to that stuff", warned Yuzuki, reluctantly agreeing to this, just then, the class bell rang.
"Yay! it's lunchtime! come one, you can meet the rest of my friends!" cheered Usagi excitedly, half pulling Yuzuki out of her chair, Yuzuki let herself be dragged towards the door.
"Hey! wait for me!" squealed Minako, chasing after Usagi and Minako and catching up with them in the hallway, Yuzuki darted behind Usagi and shyly peeked at Minako.
"Don't be shy Yuzuki, this is Minako, she's a bit enthusiastic but she's one of my dear friends..." said Usagi encouragingly.
"Nice to meet you Yuzuki, I was the one that fetched the smelling salts, I hope we can be friends" greeted Minako with a big grin on her face and holding her hand out.
"I'd like that" smiled Yuzuki, stepping out from behind Usagi, she shook Minako's hand, then a thought crossed her mind.
"Usagi, umm, how many friends do you have?" she asked.
"Err, I have loads of friends actually, my closest friends are Rei, Ami, Makoto, and Minako, my, cousin Chibiusa, my fiancé, Mamoru, he's away at the moment but he'll be back soon, the cat's Luna, Artemis and Diana, then there's also Setsuna, Hotaru, Michiru and Haruka and I mustn't forget my best friend Naru, though I haven't seen her around much lately..." listed Usagi "Not that I'm bragging or anything she quickly added.
"That's a lot of friends Usagi, you're the first two friends I ever had... do you think th-they'll... like me? asked Yuzuki, she started to tremble.
"I'm sure they'll love you Yuzuki" smiled Usagi reassuringly, little expecting how Yuzuki was going to react, though they started to see she was getting upset, Usagi gave her little hug.
"No!" Yuzuki shouted, pulling away, tears began to stream down her face. "No...they won't... I don't deserve this... I don't deserve... friends!" she cried, "I'm... a terrible... per-person!" she sobbed.
She turned away from Usagi and Minako, then ran away from them...The two girls looked at each other, totally dumb-founded and unsure as to what brought this on so suddenly, especially that last part.
"You better go after her, you're so much better at this, than I am, it seems" suggested Minako, with a worried look on her face, "I'll look for the others" she added, Usagi nodded and ran after Yuzuki.
Usagi ran up a flight of stairs and onto the roof, glancing around, at first she couldn't see Yuzuki anywhere and she was about to leave when she spotted some of Yuzuki's dark hair on the ground, just around the corner from her, Usagi peeked around the corner and saw Yuzuki sitting in the shade, crying to herself.
"I'm sorry Yuzuki, I didn't mean to push you or anything, do you mind if I join you ... or do you want me to leave...?" asked Usagi softly, smiling kindly at the weeping girl.
"N-no... please stay... I... I'm sorry Usagi... I just was overwhelmed...I'm not used to all this, being around so many people... or having friends..." explained Yuzuki sadly, Usagi watched her caringly.
"You never had any friends before...? You must have been lonely..." replied Usagi sympathetically, a tear trickled down her cheek, that's so sad she thought.
"... I never really thought it before... but I think I was, when I said this is my first day at school, I meant it's literally my first ever day... I've never been to any school before..." Yuzuki continued...
"You never went to school before, what about you're education?" asked Usagi, inquisitively.
"I was educated at home...home is the hospital where I spent most of life, my parents couldn't cope so they abandoned me there... I only had my drawings and video games for company" she told Usagi.
"You like drawing, may I see?" smiled Usagi,
ReluctantlyYuzuki pulled out her English notebook and showed a sketch she did in class, it was a picture of a black orb or crystal, with red rays of light coming off it, seemingly attacking some Martian Tripods from the book the teacher was talking about... "Wow this is really good... you should join the manga club" Usagi suggested, Yuzuki nodded slowly, unsure she wanted to or not.
"Usagi... are we really friends?" asked Yuzuki nervously, Usagi blinked, why was this so familiar?
"Yuzuki, I want to your friend...I really do" replied Usagi grinning warmly, what was this odd feeling. "and trust me, if you met my other friends, they'll they'll want to be, as well" reassured Usagi.
"Will we always be friends?" asked Yuzuki, seeming to cheer up a little, she also felt this had happened before, somewhere, she also felt she could trust Usagi with her life...
"We'll be friends forever!" giggled Usagi, giving Yuzuki a gentle hug, despite it being a warm she was surprised at how cold the girl felt, both girls couldn't shake that strong sense of déjà vu, Usagi's stomach chose that moment to growl.
"Ooh, I forgot how hungry I am, that's new!" giggled Usagi jumping up, "Come on Yuzuki, let's find my other friends... they're probably waiting", she then suggested.
"Okay then," replied Yuzuki shyly, as Usagi helped her up, "Oh just a second! she called as she shielded her eyes from the sunlight, then made the sign of the cross for good luck before following Usagi back into the school building.
At the main doors of the Shcool, Yuzuki slipped on her mirrored sunglasses, quicky explaining her sensitivity to sunlight and they headed to the School's park area, where Usagi and Yuzuki soon found the others sitting under a tree with a small picnic laid out, Minako, now with a white cat sitting on her shoulder, the only girl Yuzuki recognized waved over to them there was four girls there, one of which, the one with dark purple hair, was wearing a different uniform them, whom Minako was talking to, obviously she was from a different school, then there was a girl with greenish blue shoulder length, who seemed to be absorbed in a video game on an old Nintendo DS and finally a tall girl with reddish brown hair, who was busy laying out the picnic, Usagi ushered Yuzuki over to them.
"Hey, guys! this isYuzuki" introduced Usagi as she guided her to the middle of the group, where the others had reserved a spot for them, this made Yuzuki feel awkward and was on the verge of a panic attack, seeing her shaking like a leaf, the blue-haired girl was the first to speak.
"Hello, I'm Ami, you don't have to nervous around us" she smiled, then she seemed to remember something, "before I met Usagi, I used to be really shy myself, but she's the bestest friend anyone could have and she'll never turn her back on you, neither will we" Ami told Yuzuki encouragingly, the other girls nodded in agreement.
"Aww, thanks, Ami!" Usagi gushed, patting her on the back,
"Umm, Ami, what game are you playing... if you don't mind me asking?" Yuzuki asked politely
"Game..? What..? Oh, that's not a... I mean I was just looking at... something", spluttered Ami realizing Yuzuki had mistaken her supercomputer for a certain handheld games console, She quickly put it away, Yuzuki looked at her confused.
Suddenly the purple haired girl pushed forward, right up to Yuzuki's face as if examining her, which terrified Yuzuki.
"Hmmm, I sense something about you, why is that I wonder, huh...? said the girl firmly, Yuzuki shrank back in fear, Minako grabbed the girl by the ear "Oww! Heeey!" squealed the girl as Minako pulled her away.
"Rei! you're frightening her, I told she's really sensitive, stop being so rude!" scolded Minako
"I'm not being rude!" Rei protested "I was only joking!" she added, shoving Minako's face into a slice of cream covered cake, Minako's cat licked some of it off. Rei looked at Yuzuki, she had her hands covering her face, trembling, worriedly Rei thought she'd gone too far, the unexpectedly Yuzuki burst out in giggles
"Ha-hah! Rei... you guys... you are soo funny!" Yuzuki laughed hysterically barely able to speak, Yuzuki's laughter was a wonderful thing to see and seeing this, everyone laughed as well, Usagi felt a small sense of victory, she knew getting her to meet her friends was the right thing to do, A paper plate was then shoved under Yuzuki's nose, with some cake on it. Yuzuki blinked in confusion...
"Hi I'm Makoto, try some!" offered the brown-haired girl.
"Oh!?" gasped Yuzuki, in surprise, at first she looked at it as if it was something alien to her then cautiously took a bite, she didn't swallowed it at first, she pushed it around her mouth with her tongue, then gulped it down with a blank look on her face, noticing everyone was looking at her she started to act like she really enjoying it, yet it was obvious there was something wrong as she was overdoing and it seemed forced.
"You didn't like it..." sighed Makoto, lowering her head.
"It was great... it tasted great.. a lovely... umm.. strawberry sponge cake" politely replied Yuzuki, trying to sound sincere.
"It wasn't strawberry... it was cherry... I made it myself" mumbled Makoto, sounding hurt, Yuzuki, felt a pang of guilt.
"I'm sorry... I couldn't taste it..." sweated Yuzuki, as she tried to explain, turning pink. (she's too pale to turn red)
"Wha-what...! what do you mean you couldn't taste it!?" snapped Makoto with a mix frustration and confusion, no one had ever criticized her cooking before, "are you saying my cooking is bland?" she added irritability.
"Makoto, don't get mad, take it easy, Yuzuki, Makoto is the best cook I know, what's wrong with you?" asked Usagi, stepping in to calm the escalating situation.
"I'm sorry Mokoto... I really couldn't taste it... I literally can't taste any food... my taste-buds don't work because of my... problem... I sure it tasted great though" Yuzuki, explained, tears began to swell up in her eyes. "I'm really am sorry, I such a horrible person... I should not have tried to lie about it, I was embraced... I'm so sorry, please, please forgive me" she sobbed.
"It's okay Yuzuki... I didn't realize, I didn't mean to snap at you" smiled Mokoto kindly, cupping her hand on Yuzuki's shoulder reassuringly
Minako's cat jumped down from her shoulder and onto Yuzuki's lap, he licked her hand and nuzzled his head into her as if trying to make her feel better, which seemed to work as her eyes lit up, Yuzuki noticed he had the same crescent moon mark as the black cat she saw earlier that day.
"Oooh hello, another kitty, you're the third I've seen today, cats are my favorite animals!" she said with a squee of delight.
"Ha! that's my cat Artemis, " giggled Minako, still wiping the cream off her face.
"Aww, he's wonderful!" smiled Yuzuki happily, Artemis meowed approvingly and started to purr loudly as Yuzuki tickled him under his chin.
"Yes he is... he's my constant companion in crime!" grinned Minako, playfully patting Artemis on the head, Artemis gave an exasperated sigh.
Suddenly, a shadow loomed across them as a familiar figure walked past... Usagi recognized the figure, jumping up excitedly
"Naru!" she called as she ran over to her best friend, nearly tripping over the picnic as she did so, Naru turned around slowly, she appeared to be in a bad mood.
"What do you want Usagi!?" asked Naru harshly, Usagi was caught off guard, not knowing what she did to deserve being spoken to this way.
"Naru I haven't seen you in ages... what's wrong? asked Usagi worriedly
"Who said there was anything was wrong..? not that you'd be interested anyway", Naru growled sarcastically.
"Naru?" gasped Usagi confused, sensing something was very wrong here, the other girls watched apprehensively.
"Stop saying my name, I'm sick of hearing it coming from your mouth... besides it looks like you found another new friend!" spat Naru angerly, glancing at Yuzuki, making her shy away, "I heard you were hanging out with that freak..!" she added coldly, the other girls were now getting angry at Naru... this was so unlike her.
"Naru... please... why are you being so mean... I don't know what I did wrong... are you... are you jealous...!?" cried Usagi, almost in tears, she reached out to her friend.
"Leave me alone Usagi..! I just don't want to be your friend anymore!" shouted Naru, spitefully pushing Usagi onto the ground, Usagi landed hard and painfully on her backside, the other girls were too shocked to react as Usagi started to cry...
Then out of nowhere Yuzuki lept forward and firmly grabbed Naru's arm, no one had seen her move, there was a look of utter fury in her eyes, a side to her no one had ever seen before, not till now at least and she was actually a lot stronger than she appeared to be...
"How dare you do this to your friend..! I may be new about having friends but I do know you don't treat your friends like this... especially someone like Usagi, you should calm down!" Yuzuki hissed, no one noticed that Yuzuki's hand briefly glowed red with a strange energy, Naru suddenly felt weakened...
"Get off me you creep!" snapped Naru, brushing Yuzuki aside, she too ended up on her backside. It looked like Naru was about to leave but she decided to turn back, turning her attention onto the other girls who were completely dumbstruck, Naru leaned down and grabbed Artemis, picking him up by the scruff of the neck.
"Hey! What are you doing Artemis!" shouted Minako angerly.
"Cats aren't allowed on school property!" Naru sneered, walking, towards the gate, still holding Artemis.
The three girls were enraged, Naru had already gone too far when she pushed Usagi and Yuzuki, now she's taken Artemis away. Minako, Makoto, and Rei were about to give chase but Ami restrained them.
"No guys, we'll all get detention and Rei you might get kicked out of your school for being here!" Ami advised though she was just as angry and upset as the others.
"Okay... but when I get a chance I'll have a few words with that Naru", growled Makoto.
"Yeah me too!" agreed Minako furiously, the four girls nodded in agreement then they looked at Usagi, who was still crying her heart out and Yuzuki, who was trying to comfort her as best she could, while blaming herself for what had happened.
"Poor Usagi... how could Naru turn on her like that!" snapped Rei, still steaming over what had happened, the girls sadly went over to Usagi and Yuzuki, their picnic lunch had been ruined...
Meanwhile, Naru carried Artemis over to the gate Artemis noticed an evil look in her eyes, Naru looked at Artemis and gave him a menacing smile...
The rest of the day passed without incident and was soon time to head home. Usagi and the gang were at the main gate, they saw that a limousine waiting there, Artemis and Luna came running over.
"Girls! we got a meeting at the temple, we have some new information to those strange things that been happening lately, it could be a lead..!" Artemis informed, then froze when he realized Yuzuki was standing right next to Usagi and had clearly heard him. Luna bopped him on the head.
"Oh, that sounds very important Artemis", smiled Yuzuki innocently, totally unfazed by hearing a cat talking. Artemis, Luna, and Usagi looked look at each other and then at Yuzuki confused, the other girls were just as puzzled.
"y-you knew You know Artemis and my cat Luna can talk?" questioned Usagi, wide-eyed.
"Doesn't everyone?" retorted Yuzuki, blushing.
"But...!? But...!?", Usagi's head was spinning.
Suddenly Naru brushed past them without saying a word, she glanced at Usagi, giving her a dirty look. Does Naru really hate me so much wondered Usagi confused... Naru walked on, coldly ignoring them, then got into the limousine, Usagi knew her family was rich but since when did Naru have a limousine, she asked herself...
"Anyways You guys should get going to your, um, meeting if it's urgent... I'll just hang here... unless you want me to help" suggested Yuzuki realizing she should let them go...
"It is important, Yuzuki, we have a special job to do but we can't tell you about it and there's a good reason why, please understand... you're still our dear friend" Minako explained gently, with an unexpectedly serious tone, she didn't want Yuzuki to feel rejected.
"I do understand... I guess we all have our secrets... don't worry Minako, I'll be fine" Yuzuki nodded, she waved goodbye to the girls as they walked off, Luna hung back for a moment.
"You are a very clever young lady aren't you" she smiled at Yuzuki kindy, "I think I'll keep an eye on you in future..." she added mysteriously, then ran off after the other girls, leaving Yuzuki alone to her thoughts.
"I'm not really that clever am I?" Yuzuki asked herself, unconvinced by Luna's words, "Maybe I should follow them... Artemis sounded serious... they might need my help" she pondered.
"Yes... you should, child... they could be in danger..." whispered a strangely soft, disembodied voice that could barely be heard, yet resonated inside Yuzuki's head a voice that wasn't hers. a strange look crossed her face as she decided to follow them...
Now at Rei's temple, the girls were sitting talking about that day's events unaware that someone was nearby, hiding behind a wall, listening to them...
"I wish knew what was wrong with Naru, she's not herself, does she think I've been ignoring her, I thought she was avoiding me... but..?" questioned Usagi, worried about her former best friend...
"Are you alright Artemis, Naru didn't... do anything to you, did she?" asked Minako with concern.
"It's alright, she just kicked me out of the school grounds..." winced Artemis, remembering Naru's boot while trying to downplay what had happened, but he wasn't very convincing.
"Oh you poor thing!" exclaimed Luna, kissing him on the cheek and making him blush.
"What! she actually kicked you! I can't let her get away with that..! that's so unforgivable!" cried Minako outraged.
"Th-that's not Naru... it can't be!?" sniffed Usagi sadly.
"What do you think Rei?" asked Makoto, but she looked distracted...
"Rei? What's wrong?" prompted Ami, Rei looked at them with a puzzled look.
"When I said I sensed something about that Yuzuki girl... I wasn't exactly joking... it wasn't anything bad... but there was something off about her... I thought I could sense it here in the temple...but..." Rei whipped around and looked in the general direction where Yuzuki was hiding, then turned back to the others looking confused.
"For a moment there I thought I sensed... no, it couldn't be..? She's not even here" she said almost to herself, feeling awkward about how she was acting.
From her hiding place Yuzuki gave a muffled sigh, she thought she'd been spotted, she felt guilty about spying but something told she had to... literally told her.
"Maybe you were picking up on her illness..." suggested Ami
"I... I guess you're right..." Rei replied with a frowned look on her face.
"She didn't say what her illness was is, did she... I wonder what it is?" pondered Ami "Her symptoms seem to be very specific, Anemia, Narcolepsy, Photophobia, and Ageusia..." she continued, Usagi didn't know any of those words...
"Ami! Rei! We shouldn't talk about Yuzuki like this, she's our friend and we shouldn't pry!" scorned Usagi crossly.
Now Yuzuki felt doubly guilty, she was doing just that, she was prying on her friends, if they found out about this they'd hate her... she was a terrible person and she should just go... but something told her to stay...
"Plus she can talk to animals... that's so cool!" Minako chirped in.
Yuzuki sweated, "h-how did she..?" she breathed, trying to contain her surprise
"Huh? what do you mean, how do you know she talks to animals? asked Makoto, worried about Minako's sanity on this.
"Well she didn't react to Luna or Artemis talking... so she probably can talk to animals... or cats at least... or maybe I'm just being silly" giggled Minako awkwardly.
"Guys, stop it!" Usagi snorted in protest "you're being disrespectful!" she added, crossing her arms
"Girls, we need to talk about Guardian business now, anyway" informed Luna.
"Guardian...? wh-what did she mean Guardian business?" Yuzuki ears pricked and she became alert, she cautiously peeked around the wall, careful not to be seen.
"Yes... the Sailor Guardians are needed..." began Artemis...
...Yuzuki eyes widened as realization dawned, "Sailor... Guardians?" she whispered, in her mind's eye she could now see who they really were... she envisioned them in their uniforms, Ami, Rei, Makoto and Minako, they were Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus, but Usagi was... she was of course Sailor Moon, she could now see them, her new found friends... were heroes, her idols, the Sailor Guardians...
"...I've confirmed that the strange incidents are the work of a new enemy... we don't know who they are or what they want..." Artemis explained...
...Yuzuki's heart raced, "The enemy..? Oh-n-no... It' can't be.. not now..?" she mumbled to herself worriedly...
"...I overheard a possible clue about the new 'K. D. K. office building, that suggests we should take a look, you guys should investigate it" Artemis continued.
"K. D. K Games...? Their office has just been built, it's in Central Tokyo, where Galaxy TV used to be... " noted Minako...
...Feeling guilt-ridden, this was all that Yuzuki needed to know... maybe more than she wanted, so she quietly slipped away unnoticed, she knew their greatest secret and didn't know what to do. she didn't want this, but she had to be here, she had little choice, the voice wanted her to know...
"Galaxy TV...? It can't be a coincidence... this could be very dangerous... maybe we should call on the Outer-Guardians for help..." suggested Ami thoughtfully
"That's a good idea..." agreed Luna...
"No, we don't have much, time... we need to act quickly", warned Artemis urgently. "Besides they won't expect us to act so soon", he added.
"Ah! ok Artemis, but I'm still not sure about this", replied Luna, "What do you think Usagi?" she then asked, turning towards Usagi. Usagi's held her head low, her hands covering her face, she was sobbing quietly to herself...
"Oh-no!...Usagi!?" gasped Luna sympathetically. Usagi slowly lifted head, her face wet with tears...
"Why...!? Why do we have to keep fighting... does this ever end... can't we have a break from the bad guys just this once!" she cried, her friends gathered around her to comfort her... Usagi then stood up with a fierce look in her eye.
"You don't have to do this Usagi... I'm sure we can handle this ourselves..." suggested Rei, trying to reassure her, Usagi wiped the tears from her eyes.
"It's okay guys... Let's do this, we're a team and we stick together, no matter what!" replied Usagi, now full of determination.
"Yay! All for one for and one for the money!" yelled Minako excitedly.
"Sometimes I think you do that on purpose, Minako" groaned Luna with a sigh.
"Ha! you're the first one to get it" Minako giggled playfully.
As everyone left the temple, heading off to their mission. Usagi paused for a moment and glanced up at the sky, lost in thought, the sun was starting to set and it was starting to get dark... Usagi wondered what Yuzuki was doing right now... Probably at her hospital care home ether drawing or doing her homework or just watching t.v. she felt a little envious for a brief moment, at least that girl didn't have to fight monsters. smiled Usagi to herself, but it was an empty smile.
"Oh, Mamoru I wish you were here and not overseas...I Know said you'll be home very soon now... but I need you," she whispered wistfully, Usagi sighed, she then ran to catch up with her friends...
The journey to Central Tokyo took a while to get to on foot and dusk had set in and a full moon lit the sky, it had a distinct red tint that night. The girls were now standing before a relatively ordinary, unimpressive office block which still ha scaffoldings around it, the only of note was the logo, a black and silver picture of Earth that was split into four parts forming an X shape, with gold stylized letters 'K.D.K. Games' on it, the first k was back-to-front.
"Officially it hasn't been opened yet, so it should be safe... at least there shouldn't be anyone inside," Luna told the girls.
"Yeah, except for that... poltergeist Artemis told us about" noted Usagi with a shiver.
"As I said to you on the way here, those construction workers I saw at that cafe near the school mentioned it" reminded Artemis
"Tonight's a blood moon, that's a bad omen... we should be cautious" warned Rei as she looked at the moon.
"Ooooh, Spooky!" teased Minako mischievously.
"Ami can you pick up on anything?" asked Usagi feeling a little nervous, something about this place made her uncomfortable, maybe it was the bad experience the had here before, Ami pulled out her supercomputer and used it to carefully scan the area...
"There doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary outside" Ami confirmed.
"Guys we should transform" suggested Makoto, pointed down a nearby alleyway.
The girls all ran over and into the alleyway, once out of the public, they looked around to make sure no one could see them, they pulled out transformation pens except Usagi who removed her broach and began their transformations... But they weren't as alone as they thought...
"Mercury Crystal Power, Make Up!" Ami became Sailor Mercury...
"Mars Crystal Power, Make Up!" Rei became Sailor Mars...
"Jupiter Crystal Power, Make Up!" Makoto became Sailor Jupiter...
"Venus Crystal Power, Make Up!" Minako became Sailor Venus ...
"Moon Eternal, Make Up!" Usagi became Eternal Sailor Moon...
Once all five had transformed they ran back out of the alleyway and on to the street... unaware their transformations had been witnessed by a drunk, fortunately, he pass off what he saw as booze induced hallucinations, before passing out onto the pile of rubbish bags and started to snore...
Going over to the building's door, tried to open it but as expected it was locked, the Guardians turned as they tried to figure out how to get in, suddenly there was an electronic bleep and a loud click, cautiously, Sailor Mars tried the door, it was now unlocked...
"Umm, that's convenient" giggled Sailor Moon nervously.
"This is very strange.? Careful Guardians, this doesn't feel right!" warned Sailor Mercury the girls before they snuck into the building.
"Do you think they're expecting us?!" asked Sailor Jupiter, with a worried frown.
"I don't know how they possibly could... this... is puzzling..." replied Artemis rubbing his chin with is his paw.
Luna and Artemis watched as the Guardians nervously as they enter the building, unaware that someone was watching from the rooftops Luna went to follow them but paused, noticing Artemis hadn't moved, he had blank look on his face as if lost in thought...
"Artemis! come on!" yelled Luna, calling him, Artemis blinked and shook himself.
"Sorry I was was just spacing out..." apologized Artemis.
"We need to keep an eye on them... something's not right here!" Luna told him urgently.
"I think I'll wait here and watch the building, I'm sure they can handle this" suggested Artemis with a shiver.
"Are you feeling alright Artemis?" asked Luna, puzzled.
"Ahh, Err, the truth is... I'm... a bit scared" Artemis admitted, looking sheepish, Luna rolled her eyes.
"Well, you can stay here then! I'm going to help Sailor Moon!" replied Luna irritability, feeling disappointed with Artemis' sudden cowardice.
Artemis sighed to himself as Luna ran off after the girls, he glanced around, something caught his eye, for a brief moment he thought he saw a female figure impossibly leaping from the rooftop across to the building. "I must be seeing things..." he groaned dismissively...
Now inside the building, the Sailor Guardians explored, their movements were being tracked by security cameras...
Most of the rooms were locked and through the door windows they could see the rooms were either completely empty or full of unopened boxes anyway, however they found the main office that overlooked the lobby, a sign on its door read 'Beware of the ghost!' Reluctantly Sailor Venus tried the door... the door opened slowly, the room appeared to have been fully furnished and ready to be used, apart from a small box sitting on a desk with a note beside it, there appeared to be nothing out of the ordinary.
Sailor Moon took the note and read it.. her heart skipped a beat and with a startled look on her face she handed the note to the others, her hand was shaking the girls read it...
Dear 'Sailor Moon'
I'm so delighted you came here... I was hoping you would, I've left a gift for you and your pathetic Guardians... It's called a "Proto-Minion"
(You really should open the box, LOL)
Signed: '?'
The Sailor Guardians were shocked... The enemy somehow knows they'd be here and laid a trap for them, but before they could speculate further the box began to shake violently and it burst open, a grey coloured fluid erupted from it... The liquid then began to take form morphing into a demonic, alien, looking humanoid shape, with large pointy ears, with a red orb embedded in its forehead, it looked totally evil... The sinister creature, what they guessed was the Proto-Minion, waved its index finger at them, tauntingly, before rummaging through the desk drawer, it then pulled out a staple-gun in one clawed hand and another one in the other...
"uh-oh!" gasped the Sailor Guardians in unison as they realized something bad was about to happen...
The staple-guns morphed and melted into the Proto-Minion's hands, which caused it's armed to change into larger versions of them... The Proto-Minion then leaped at the girls firing giant staples at them...The Guardians dodged and scattered as they tried to avoid its attacks, but Sailor Moon was struck and now her arms and legs were firmly pinned to the wall...
"Sailor Moon!" cried the other girls
"I'm going to scan for any weaknesses!" called Sailor Mercury, activating her visor, but she soon regretted stopping as she was soon found herself flying backwards and like Sailor Moon, she was pinned to the wall, unable to move...
The Proto-Minion quickly jumped over to the incapacitated Guardian, staring at her with it's glowing, white, pupil-less eyes a 'mouth' appeared on its face and it smiled sinisterly at her... it open it's 'mouth', Sailor Mercury stifled a scream, as a human arm, that didn't look as if it was part of the creature, stretched out from the creature's mouth, it's hand had long talon-like nails and it was holding some sort of bottle.
A strange wisp of energy emerged from Sailor Mercury's body which filled the bottle, the arm withdrew back into the creature's mouth and Sailor Mercury fell unconscious and her Guardian uniform reverted to its original form. as the other Guardians watched in horror...
Sailor Moon suddenly felt something pulling the staple that held her left leg, whatever it was, it was strong and it managed to remove the staple, releasing her leg, much to her surprise...
"Hey get away from her, you creep!" yelled Sailor Jupiter angerly. "Jupiter Oak Evolution" she continued unleashing her attack, but the Proto-Minion managed to avoid it and the attack narrowly missed Sailor Mars...
"Hey!? Watch it Jupiter!" shouted Sailor Mars jumping out the way as she prepared her own attack... "Mars Flame Shoo-" she began but like Sailor Mercury found herself flying backwards into the wall, held fast by staples, she struggled to free herself but it was in vain. The Proto-Minion jumped at her with it 'mouth' open and as before that creepy arm came out with another bottle...
"Venus Love Chain Encircle!" shouted Sailor Venus, her energy chain wrapped around the arm but an arc of black energy lightning shot from the arm knocked her back forcing Sailor Venus to release it. As with Sailor Mercury, a wisp of energy came from Sailor Mars, filling the bottle, again the arm withdrew with its prize. Sailor Mars tried to struggle but fell unconscious and her uniform also reverted,
Meanwhile, Sailor Moon felt the invisible force pulling on and removing the staple pinning her other leg... was someone helping her?
The Proto-Minion turned its attention onto Sailor Venus but Sailor Jupiter came up from behind and tried to wrestle the creature but it turned into a liquid state, causing Sailor Jupiter to fall right through it and on to the floor, where Proto-Minion stapled her. the Proto-Minion leaned down towards Sailor Jupiter, once again the arm came out if its 'mouth', and filled another bottle. Sailor Jupiter was now also unconscious, her uniform also reverted to its original version.
Sailor Moon felt watched helplessly, still not able to move except for her legs, She realized the staple holding her left arm was being freed. "who are you..?" she asked softly
"A, A friend... please trust me... I'm on your side... but please keep this between ourselves for now... it could be our little secret" whispered a nervous voice. unseen girl's voice as the staple dropped to the floor, whoever it was she must have been invisible... but there was something strangely familiar about that voice, but more than that, whose last words, combined with that voice, was she remembering something from long ago ..?
"I going to take you down!" yelled Sailor Venus dodging the monster's attacks, now back in the fight. being the fastest and most athletic of the Sailor Guardians was a serious advantage against this creature but the Proto-Minion was pretty fast itself and relentless in its determination to get her. the Proto-Minion the stopped and waited for Sailor Venus to make her move.
"Venus Love and-!" Sailor Venus was unable to finish her attack before she too ended up stapled to a wall, the Proto-Minion approached her, for the fourth time the arm came out with a bottle...
Sailor Moon struggled desperately to remove the last staple but couldn't move it, she felt a gentle, unseen, hand on hers...
"I'll help you... let me do this" whispered the mysterious voice.
"Why won't you show yourself? asked Sailor Moon quietly...
"Maybe I'm just shy..." replied the voice with a half-hearted giggle... "Gah, it's stuck..." groaned the voice, straining...
"I'll help you... we can both do this..." suggested Sailor Moon as she began pulling again with her invisible friend...
"It's working, we've loosened it" cheered the voice...
"That's called teamwork... Tell me, you have special powers like us, why won't you fight?" questioned Sailor Moon, she felt she already knew the answer to this...
"I... err... I don't like fighting... I really don't" replied the voice, whoever she was, she seems seemed really sweet though Sailor Moon...
"I understand, I do, I hate fighting too... but sometimes you have to... sometimes you don't have a choice" explained Sailor Moon sympathetically...
"I... don't... know... I really do want to help..." wavered the unseen voice sadly...
Finally the last staple came free, releasing Sailor Moon, who dropped to the floor, just in time witness wisp of energy leaving Sailor Venus' unconscious body and into the bottle, the arm pulling back into the Proto-Minion's 'mouth' like the others her uniform reverted, the fiendish monster then turned it's attention to Sailor Moon and seemed surprised that she was now free, it did not expect that.
"You vile monster! How dare you attack my friends like this! In the name of the Moon, I shall-" before she could finish her challenge Sailor Moon again found herself pinned to the wall with staples.
"Punish you... Oooh-no, not this again!" she yelped, seriously considering ditching her trademark taunt. "No... please... don't..." she sobbed, tears welling up in her eyes as the Proto-Minion walked purposely towards her, Sailor Moon started to cry loudly, the red jewels on her hair buns began emitting ultrasonic waves which began to shake the room, glass began to break, Proto-Minion's liquid body rippled as it struggled to keep itself together, if Sailor Moon didn't stop crying she'd bring the entire building down...
Sailor Moon fearfully opened her eyes, was the monster gone? she wondered briefly, but no it wasn't it was right in front of her, it's pointy ears strangely missing, it would have looked funny if the creature wasn't going to do something awful, she was in real trouble now, her last line of defense had utterly failed. The Proto-Minion gleefully stretched it's 'mouth' wide open revealing it wasn't really a 'mouth' but some kind of portal to somewhere else...
This was surreal, Sailor Moon could see another room within the 'mouth' it was dark and gloomy with stone walls, she could see a table there, with four bottles on it each one representing a Sailor Guardian. Then Sailor Moon saw a shape move in the gloom, the arm reached out and through the Proto-Minion's 'mouth' holding another bottle.
Sailor Moon could see it had her crescent moon symbol on it, a wisp of energy was drawn out of her, she struggled to stay conscious, because of her strength of willpower she wasn't as badly affected as the others, but her Eternal Sailor Moon uniform changed to the one she originally wore when she first became Sailor Moon, the arm returned to where it came from, closing its gaping mouth the Proto-Minion stepped back giving Sailor Moon a cruel smile...
Meanwhile, hidden in the shadows behind a support column, another girl watched, her eyes were panic-stricken...
The Proto-Minion seemed at a loss as to what to do next now its mission had been completed, it tilted it's head looking at the weakened Sailor Moon and came to a wicked decision, Sailor Moon chest heaved as it Raised one of its staple gun arms straight at her heart... it was going to actually kill her...
The girl in the shadows realized she had to act and act now, "I have no choice!" she whispered to herself, a fierce look crossed her eyes, "Shadow Twilight Vale!" she said Reising her voice, the lights dimmed and a thick dark fog appeared...
Proto-Minion looked around in confusion, from its point of view the room seemed to twist and distort, the mysterious girl stepped out of the shadows ready to fight, her outline seemed strangely familiar...
