Chapter 1:
I hate the sound of gravel. It's crackling reminds me of fire. The fire which took everything from me. My life was changed forever. But, maybe I'm being too serious. I should just brighten up. I kept walking, and eventually, I reached the cabin at Camp Half-Blood.

"What's up Seaweed-Brain?" Annabeth asked me, her face glued to an architecture book, another 5 sitting on the table next to her.

"I'm doing fine, thank you." I sighed.

"Don't lie to me."

"I've just been thinking about the war." I said.
"Yeah, I don't blame you Seaweed-Brain." Annabeth responded.

"You know I don't get annoyed by you calling me that anymore."
"All the more reason to call you it."
I sighed. Annabeth smirked as I walked into the back room. I greeted Chiron as I entered the room, and he had a look on his face which indicated that something was not right.
"Percy, you just missed Apollo! He had a message for you!"

I frowned. I almost immediately knew it was another prophecy. Hopefully this time it wasn't THE prophecy.

"As I'm sure you suspected, it was another prophecy." I nodded.

"To sum it up, Apollo prophesied that you will meet someone, rescue them from despair, and bring them back to Mount Olympus."

"Well, okay then," I responded to Chiron with a perplexed look on my face. "So, what do I need to do then?"
"You probably need to go on another adventure of some kind. Bring me a souvenir while your at it, would ya?" Chiron asked in a cheerful way. I nodded to him, and, just for a second, he had a grim look on his face. At what must've been my awkward stare, his face snapped back to a cheerful grin. I then started walking away from Chiron, and towards the door. As I did, he galloped off, his head hung low. I turned around and started to walk away. I turned to look at Annabeth, who was still reading her book.

"Goodbye Seaweed-Brain!" She exclaimed, sounding almost like a sarcastic eight year-old girl. I turned away from her, and grimmly walked out the door, back to Camp Half-Blood.
