Olive shot up with a sharp gasp. 1:17AM. That's the third this month. She thinks to herself. Recently, Olive has been having dreams - nightmares if you will, in which she starts an uncontrollable fire throughout the Peculiar Home resulting in killing everyone inside. Panicking, she creeps to the only person who helps her during this time and taps lightly on the door.

"Enoch, are you awake?" She whispers harshly, loud enough so he can hear yet quiet enough nobody else wakes up. She hears a grumpy 'hmpf' from inside the room and takes that as her queue to enter. Enoch sits up and stretches, slowly shaking himself from his slumber.

"Again, Olive?" He asks as she closes the door behind her and lights a candle near his bed with her hand. Her silhouette comes into focus now, and Enoch thinks she's never looked more beautiful; hair in a bun, nightdress on, black gloves as always - not trying yet succeeding in every way.

"Yes.. I'm sorry if I bother you too often with this, Enoch. I can go back to my ro-"

"Nonsense - here." Enoch's raspy Scottish accent interrupted her, throwing his bed covers to the side in the process. Even in his dimly lit room, Enoch could still see the blush creep onto her face as she climbed into his bed for the third time that month.

"Thankyou, Enoch."

"No worries, dear." He replied, making himself comfortable by throwing his arm over her waist, Olive subconsciously burying her head between his head and shoulder as he did so.

"Y'know what I'm grateful of?" Enoch mumbled tiredly, after a half hour or so of gently humming and playing with the loose parts of Olive's hair with one hand, tracing light patterns on her back with the other.

"Hmm?"

"The fact that you don't cry anymore. God, I swear I panicked so much when I heard you crying that one night." He tightened his hold around her waist.

"That's what started this... Sorry for crying too loud." She yawned, making Enoch smirk playfully yet tiredly.

"I think you're the only person in the entire world to apologise for being upset too loud, y'know Olive. I'm glad I know though, now I can help you... This does help you, right?" Olive lightly giggled.

"Millions. Thankyou again, Enoch."

"Anytime. Now go to sleep before someone hears us talking and thinks I've gone soft." He kissed her on the forehead and blew out the candle.

"Sweet dreams, Enoch."

"Goodnight now, Olive."
