A/N: Sorry, But I do not own Once Upon a Time or Rumpelstiltskin and Belle.
This is just a fun little story! Hope you guys like it!

It was early morning.

Rumpelstiltskin sat at his spinning wheel waiting for his maid to come waltzing in with his morning meal and tea.

But today she was late.

Rumpelstiltskin looked over at the door that she would always open with her back, carrying a tray with food and tea. But the door never opened.

Rumpelstiltskin looked back at his spinning and waited.

Soon his stomach growled. Where was Belle?

Getting a little worried, Rumpelstiltskin left the room in a puff of purple smoke and stood outside of Belle's bedroom door.

Before he knocked, he placed his ear on the door to listen. He heard nothing.

He tapped the door and gently called her name.

There was no answer.

Rumpelstiltskin began to worry. What if she was sick? What is she fell and hit her head on something?

He knocked a little louder. "Belle? Are you well?" he called holding back the panic in his voice.

Still nothing.

He told Belle when he gave her the room that he would never enter without her permission, but he was worried about her. With his magic he opened the door slowly and peeked in.

"Belle?" he whispered, seeing her still in bed.

Belle turned over, pulling her pillow over her head.

"A little longer," she mumbled.

Rumpelstiltskin now stood in her doorway.

"Are you ill?" he asked, very worried.

Belle buried her head deeper in her other pillow to block out his voice. "No, just want sleep."
Rumpelstiltskin smiled. He was happy she was not ill or hurt. She was just tired.

Rumpelstiltskin watched her for a moment when he notice the book she had started to read after supper. It was a very long book that would take someone 3 days to finish. But Belle had her bookmark out of the book. He also notice the candle he had given her.
It was a candle that would never burn out.

He had given her the candle after Belle had asked for another. She would stay up reading till the candle burned out and always needed a new one the next day. He should have known better! Belle had stayed up all night reading her book to the very end.

Rumpelstiltskin had to laugh. Waving his hand, he put the candle out.

"I will let you sleep in this one time, sweetheart. But tomorrow I want you up to make my morning meal."

Belle just pulled her covers up over her head.

Rumpelstiltskin smiled at her. "Sleep well." He stepped out of her room. "Guess I'm going to have to do something about that candle. But first I need food," Rumpelstiltskin said to himself as he walked away.
