I don't know why this ship is so underrated, I love it! Although I ship both BBRae and RobRae...I ship RobRae more.
"TITANS GO!"
First thing in the morning; a Plasmus attack.
The Titans had fought hard, but Plasmus kept bringing innocent people in danger, forcing them to save them.
That was until Raven had enough and shifted into her soul-self, flying straight through Plasmus and turning him back into the sleeping man. When she landed back on the ground in her normal form, she was covered in slime and could hardly stand on her feet, Robin reached her just in time to catch her when she fell.
"Someone needs to keep that man asleep..." She mumbled.
"Friend Raven, I do not think you should use that attack every time we encounter Plasmus in battle, it makes you weak, does it not?" Starfire said, green eyes wide and filled with worry.
"Star's right, Rae. You can't even stand on your own feet." Cyborg added.
"Guys...I'm fine, really, I just-"
"Raven." Robin cut in.
She looked up and saw his 'no arguing' look. Then she glanced at the rest of the team, Starfire was looking as innocent and worried as ever, Cyborg had his arms crossed and was worriedly staring at her his 'baby sister'. And Beast Boy morphed into a puppy to give her the puppy-dog eyes.
She groaned and hid her face in Robin's chest. "I'll try, but no promises."
"Only do it if it's necessary then?" The Boy Wonder argued.
"...I hate you."
He grinned.
Raven yawned and pulled off her leotard, she took a quick shower and changed into some shorts and Robin's Batman shirt. The first time she saw it, she teased him to no end about it, enjoying the way he blushed and stammered as he tried to make up an excuse.
She put on her cloak, she wasn't going to sleep yet, so she might as well wear it. It made her feel...safe.
Someone knocked on the door and she opened it immediately, already knowing who it was.
Her masked leader walked into her room, wearing black pajama pants and a red shirt. He had just taken a shower, seeing as the gel was out of his still damp hair, causing it to lie messily on his head. Just how she liked it...not that she would ever tell him.
"You don't have to come here every night, you know?" She stated simply, closing the door first.
He shrugged and yawned, covering his mouth with one hand and stretching his other arm. "If it helps you with your nightmares, I'd wake up in the middle of the night."
She smiled and reached up to ruffle his hair, he glared at her and lightly slapped her hand away. "How come you always do that after I just showered?" She shrugged. "When you haven't showered yet your hair is too spiky for me to mess it up."
She levitated down to the ground and sat on the bed, he smirked. "You had to levitate to reach my hair." He sing-songed. She glared at him. "It's not my fault you're so freakishly tall."
She grabbed a book and he sat down beside her. "I'm not tired yet." Raven rolled her eyes. "Me neither, that's why I'm reading."
He pouted and reached for his mask, it was bothering him and Raven had seen him maskless in his memories when she created the bond, this wasn't anything new.
Black energy stopped his hand. "You sure?"
He rolled his eyes. "Raven, I trust you."
She nodded and dropped the energy, she had seen his eyes before. But seeing him maskless in his memories is different than seeing him maskless in person.
If she had to be honest, his eyes were the prettiest blue she'd ever seen. Not that she'd tell him, his ego didn't need more feeding and he'd never shut up about it.
He had removed his mask for only two seconds...then he hid his face underneath her cloak. She sighed, she knew what he was doing, he was seeing how far he could annoy her until she snapped. He had found out she had a much higher tolerance level than she had for others *cough* Beast Boy *cough* and he decided it'd be fun to test her every time.
"Really, Richard?" This wasn't the first time she called him by his first name, the first time was when she thought he died...again. She had been the first to find him, and in that moment, she had allowed Happy and Brave to take over and hugged him tightly, calling him by his name over and over, his real name.
Knowledge had frowned at her, Rage was angry that he decided to 'play dead' and get even her worried. Lazy could finally sleep again, she stayed awake because of worry. Timid finally stopped crying, and Love was smirking.
He had been surprised, of course, but then he smiled and hugged her back, telling her everything was okay and that he would be more careful next time.
Robin snickered at her annoyed face, but he made no move to pull her cloak from his head. She rolled her eyes and continued reading.
He huffed and pulled the cloak of his head, placing his head in Raven's lap and looking up at her with wide eyes. When she still didn't react, he grabbed her book and placed it over his face, covering his eyes once again. "I'm trying to read, you idiot."
He blew a kiss, smirking at the blush he knew was coming.
When she still didn't react, he pulled the book from his head and pulled her in for a kiss.
"Friend Raven? Where is Friend Robin?"
"Yeah, Rae, where's Robin?"
Raven threw a car at Adonis with her powers, completely ignoring Cyborg and Starfire.
The moment Beast Boy heard that Adonis was back, he shifted into the Beast. He could control it, it was just that Adonis set him off, but he wasn't fighting like a wild animal, he was in control.
"I don't know, and can you two please focus on this crazy pervert? I do not feel like getting pinned again, thank you."
Adonis smirked and punched Beast Boy into a wall. "Come on, babe, you liked it. You even changed your looks! I'm digging the white outfit and long hair by the way."
She growled and her second set of eyes appeared, but before she could attack, Adonis seemed to get...electrocuted.
Adonis yelled in pain and threw his right hand forward, heading straight for Raven, but before she could get hit, a black and blue motorcycle rushed past her and the person driving it dragged her away. "Need to pay attention, little girl." He whispered, causing her to get annoyed.
The person dropped her gently and drove back to Adonis, bird-a-rangs popped out of his suit and he drove back and forth, hitting Adonis every time. He took his Escrima Sticks and somehow turned them into a Bo-staff, he jumped up from his motorcycle and hit Adonis straight in the chest with the staff, causing shocks to fly everywhere as the villain got electrocuted.
Adonis dropped unconscious to the ground and the man ran a hand through his short messy black hair. The rest of the Titans (they couldn't really use 'Teen' anymore.) stared at him in shock and confusion. "Dude! Who are you?!" Beast Boy said, shifting back into his human form.
The man smirked, he had on a black suit with a blue bird right in the middle of it, paired with a sharp-edged domino mask.
Before he could answer, a certain pissed off sorceress headed his way and slapped him straight across the face, causing the Titans to get even more shocked.
"What the hell were you thinking?! I don't mind you saving me - even though it was completely unnecessary, - but that stunt you pulled off could have killed you! What if Adonis had punched you right when you jumped off?! Do you know how dangerous that was?! You could've-"
The man rolled his eyes and pulled the half-demon closer, silencing her quickly by pressing his lips to hers. Raven struggled for a moment, but eventually gave in and kissed him back.
"Friends...that stranger just kissed Friend Raven, correct?" Starfire asked, dumbfounded. The two shocked boys nodded. "Then why isn't he currently in the other dimension she keeps talking about?"
Raven pulled away. "It's not a stranger, it's Robin!" She slapped him upside the head. "A really stupid Robin!"
"Nightwing, actually, I decided I needed a new name with a new suit." He smirked at his other teammates, wrapping an arm around his angry girlfriend. "Raven, I was going to be fine, if Adonis threw the punch I would've dodged it. Batman trained me well and I came from an acrobatic family, remember? Even if Adonis hit me, the suit would've protected me...a little." She crossed her arms. "Well that makes me feel better..." She mumbled sarcastically.
"Well...the new costume looks awesome, Rob- I mean Nightwing." Cyborg corrected. "Yeah, you'll have to get used to it, I get it." Nightwing grinned.
"Rae! Why didn't you tell us he was getting a costume change?" Beast Boy asked, Starfire flew over to the couple and ruffled her leader's hair. "And what happened to the gel of the hair you love?" She asked.
He rolled his eyes. "Raven complained many times about the hair gel." He answered, causing the half-demon to smirk.
"I didn't know he was getting a costume change," she started. "But he has a special way of annoying me, it helped me figure out it was him." She glared at Nightwing.
"Raven got a costume change, Robin got a costume and name change, Cyborg got an upgrade. Hey, Star, don't you think we should get a costume and name change too?" Beast Boy asked.
Starfire smiled and flew over. "That would be glorious, my friend! But we do not believe in changes on Tameran, I am sorry."
The green changeling shrugged. "Oh well, looks like it's just me then."
The Titans spend the rest of the day listening to Beast Boy come up with new names.
