Dusk and night-time are not celebrated in our universe, especially not when compared to what happens the other side of the door I have yet to witness the magical events in person but I will try to describe to you what I ave been told as best I can.

Now, the first thing I must explain to you is that time is not kept in the same way in different universes. They have day and night but not weeks. They work, instead, around the cycle of the moon.

Night is a special time for those in the fairy realm. It is a time when magic is at its strongest and, when mixed with a full or new moon, is seen as a time for celebration.

The sky is always clearest on a new moon and the stars always seem to shine brightest at that time, maybe making up for the lack of moon shine. All of the creatures in the village meet in the pastures by the river to dance the night away in good company. The trees circling the clearing are covered in silver lights and the tree-spirits leave their sanctum to join the celebrations and songs. Songs from all creatures and folk-lore are sung and magic is shown in all forms, from fireworks to light displays and music, and the airy folk dance, sing and come together to enjoy each others company, celebrating a new moon cycle.

The celebrations tend to last throughout the night, finishing at the first light of the new morn. All the folk then sit down together and watch as the light reaches out to the land before them.

The fairy folk find join in everything, from the smallest detail to the largest gesture. They celebrate what is important, they rejoice in the earth, the universe and all the glories and wonders it brings. Let us learn from this and see the joy can bring to our lives in this land the other side of the little fairy door!
