"Good night, Mattie." Anna smiled, shutting the door to the young boy's room behind her.
As soon as the door shut her smile dropped. L was still on his first case and she was alone on Valentine's Day. Well, not alone entirely. She had the boys: Matt, Mello, and Near. In truth, she'd been quite busy all day, helping them with different art projects and keeping her three year old, Near, from eating the glitter. She walked off down the hall, completely exhausted, to her room. Anna slipped off her clothes and changed into her pajamas. Once she'd gotten ready for bed, the lights were flipped off and she crawled into the bed. He'd been gone for three months. She checked her phone again, but there was still nothing. Honestly, what was she expecting? L was working a case. Anna had just started to drift off to sleep when she heard her name whispered through the darkness. She rolled over grumbling, "What is it?" She asked expecting one of her boys. Near had just moved into a 'big boy bed' and he was still having trouble adjusting to the change.
The bed dipped down as someone sat on it. Anna forced her eyes open to see a troubled pair of grey ones watching her. "L?" She sat up quickly, "I thought you were working a case."
"I was, but I finished a few days ago. I just had to finish sending in some evidence to convict them." L explained.
Anna gripped his hand and pulled him down on the bed next to her, kissing him sweetly. "Well, I'm glad you're back."
L chuckled to himself, "Of course I'm back. I wouldn't miss my first Valentine's Day with you. Even if it is a stupid holiday."
Anna kissed his cheek, "You did miss it, L."
He glanced at the clock, "No, there's still ten minutes left. Therefore, I haven't missed Valentine's Day." He placed his lips over Anna's roughly. Her arms wrapped around him and pulled him as closer to her as humanly possible. Three months without L was much too long in her opinion, but then again, one day without him was excruciatingly difficult for her. He rolled over so he was on top of her. His lips left hers and began trailing down her jawline and neck. Both of their hands beginning to wander over the others. "I missed you." He breathed against her skin as his hands began to travel up the back of her night shirt.
Anna smiled, pulling on the helm of her boyfriend's shirt, "I missed you too."
His lips met hers once more as both their shirts were discarded. His hands traveled down her sides and her hands ran themselves up L's body and her fingers laced themselves through his hair. L pulled away from her slightly, a smirk evident on his face even in the dark, "Let me make up for the time I've been gone."
A/N: *Reads over what I just wrote.* Wow okay... that wasn't what I expected to happen... I'm still not sure how something I had planned to be very innocent turned into.. ummm... that. Okay, well that was that, let me know what you think I suppose.
