No one expected a planet to fall in love with the universe. Let alone a planet that was now no longer considered a planet.

Love really is unpredictable. Striking those who believe they won't fall in love and those who will openly welcome it.

The universe, brown eyes and a sweet smile, embraced love when it came. Pluto, never expected to fall in love with anyone. She knew her for so long, since she had come through the window of the bay window she knew that the brunette was her weakness. But, she only saw it as a small admiration for that little ball of sunshine.

She sometimes thought it was that she wished she had what that girl had. That girl, Riley, had a dad who would come home every night. She had a loving family, a warm home, and so many things that she knew she didn't have.

Without realizing it, love had slowly embraced her, and her fondness for Riley grew. She watched as Riley started to glow brighter, like the sun in the sky. She filled her world with light and joy, even hope.

Somewhere along the line, she realized what she really felt for the brunette. She felt the butterflies in her stomach when Riley would hold her hand. The blush when she would compliment her. Her heartbeat speeding when she'd sleep over at Riley's apartment and the brunette would pull herself closer to Maya.

She tried to tell herself that Riley would never like her back, but god, that hurt like hell. Eventually, Riley started to date Lucas again, and she'd watch them. She'd hold back the tears, as she'd watch them hold hands walking through Topanga's bakery. That day she told them she was feeling a bit sick and left the bakery.

She realized it then. She was in love. With Riley, but Riley was in love with Lucas. Right?

Before she knew it she was back at Riley's bay window again. Knocking on the window, she could hear faint sobs. She knocked a little louder and watched Riley approach the window and let her in. "What's wrong Riley?" "Lucas, h-he," she sniffled before finishing, "broke up with me."

Maya would have been happy at this moment if it weren't for the amount of pain this caused for Riley. "Oh, Honey, I'm so sorry." She wrapped her arms around the sniffling brunette at that moment. Riley's head rested against Maya's chest, she could smell Riley's shampoo, a honey and vanilla-y scent.

"Why did you guys break up?" Maya asked out of curiosity. There was silence for a few seconds then Riley replied, "because I realized I love someone else."

The universe loves every last planet it cradles in it's arms.

"I realized I love you."

At that moment, Maya realized, Riley was the universe to her, her everything.
