Sheena sighed, binding her hair with the same pink ribbon she had worn during the Journey of Regeneration, which had been, of course, rather botched near the end.

Her ebony eyes seemed to glaze over with depression. After the journey had ended, Zelos had simply gone back to being what he was. He was still a philanderer. After all they had been through, could he not pay attention to merely her?

Miles away, in Meltokio, Zelos was surrounded by women of all ages. His façade was going to wear off soon.

That day, Sheena entered Meltokio, the Imperial City. She wore a dress, befitting of a baroness, issued to her by the King of Tethe'alla.

She tried to smile, but failed dismally as her eyelids drooped. She entered a crowded courtyard, where girls were clamoring to see the one and only Zelos Wilder. She ignored them, or, at the very least, tried, for she glanced out of the corner of her eye, wishing.

Though he acted like a self-righteous misfit, Zelos had a heart. After she had fallen down that hole, a root of the great tree bound to her leg, she wondered and wondered if anyone would save her. A black and pink clad hand had ripped the root, and clenched her palm, dragging her upward.

A smiling Zelos had pecked her on the cheek, to be rewarded with a huge hug. He had explained why he had betrayed them. Sheena had told Zelos she did not accept… So Zelos had merely slouched for a minute, then… He had fled, saying he had to rescue Lloyd.

Sadly, however, she heard her voice crack in the middle of Lloyd's name.

Sheena now approached the castle, but was blocked by to women, intent on stopping her. They demanded that such a dirty woman was to not enter, and bring a plague of horrific disgust upon the King.

"I…" Sheena had no place to answer. She slouched away from the castle, the women laughing merrily. Zelos did not even glance at her.

They had no right to act the way they did. Sheena would have slugged the two, if it was not for a fear of Zelos hating her for hurting two of his "Hunnies". Sheena sighed.

I… Am pathetic, she thought, finding an empty alleyway.

That night, the women came, accompanied by a black-clad alliance.

"Kill her," they ordered the one in black. The man brought out a sword as the women ran away. His hand twitched, and he brought it down upon her head.

Sheena screamed.

There was no blood.

There was no time.

There was just a scream.

Once more, there was nothing.

Two strong arms encircled Sheena, who was quivering. The man pulled off his hood. A familiar face smiled back, almost weeping.

"I love you, Sheena. Don't forget that… I won't abandon you for… Shallow love."
