This is just my go at the cupcake scene in the Last Olympian, from Annabeth's point of view. Percabeth FTW. xx-Emmy
For the record, I don't own Percy, or any of his epicness. It belongs to the amazing Rick Riordan.
As I walked up to the dining pavalion, I saw Percy sitting there. He looked like he was at peace. I really didn't want to bother him, because he's never at peace. He's always running from gods or monsters or me.
"Happy Birthday, Seaweedbrain."
He gave me a confused look, and then glanced at his watch.
"I guess it is my birthday."
"You think I'd forget?"
"No, but I did."
He laughed.
"Fighting a war really puts things in perspective, doesn't it?"
He looked somber for a moment, as if reflecting upon the last few days. Then he look down, and saw the cupcake in my hands.
"So, Wise Girl. Are we going to eat that cupcake, or are you going to remind me again about how my head is filled with kelp."
I couldn't pass up the oppurtunity. It was too good. I got some of the icing off of the cupcake, and smeared it through his hair.
"Your head is full of kelp."
He reached for some of the icing off the cupcake, and smeared through my hair.
"Well, your head is full of... Wisdom."
We both laughed. We chased each other around the dining pavilion, having an epic cupcake battle. After a few minutes we were both covered in blue icing.
His arm went around my waist as mine found their way around his neck. He smiled. Gods, Percy. I been waiting five years for this, I thought. Just kiss me already.
He did. It was magical. I swear I heard angelic choirs singing. But maybe, that was just the Apollo cabin.
After a minuet or two, we pulled away.
"I love you, Annabeth."
"I know." I giggled.
I burried my face in his chest.
"I love you too, Seaweedbrain."
