Okay, because that ending was so obviously fake and Kathy won't take Elliot back, here's what really happened after the lights went down on the set of Dependant...
Disclaimer: They ain't mine. As I have said before, if they were, Stabler would be banned from wearing shirts, and there would be mandatory makeout sessions between him and Olivia in the interrogation... every episode.
This story is for Kelly, because I totally agree with her evil ranting... Uh oh.
"I want to come back home." He looked at her with wide, hopeful eyes, but she just shook her head slowly. "I'm sorry, Elliot," she mumbled, and his heart fell. "You were a good husband, but it just wasn't working anymore. I moved on, and you should, too."
He swallowed thickly and slowly nodded, then turned and walked back down the steps to his car. "El?" she called hesitantly, and he turned back to look at her. "Don't hurt her because you're hurting. Let her in, and see what happens. You won't regret it."
He watched, gape mouthed, as she smiled at him and walked back into the house. Then he wiped at his eyes and climbed into the car.

As he walked up to his apartment building, he saw her sitting on the front steps, her arms around her legs and her chin resting on her knees. "Hey," he greeted her quietly, and she looked up at him and smiled.
"Hey, yourself. How'd it go?" she questioned as he sat down beside her. He arched one dark eyebrow in surprise, and she shrugged and said, "Kathy called me. Told me I might need to come by and check on you."
He shook his head and hid his face in his hand, mumbling dryly, "That was considerate of her."
"El, she was just worried about you. Like I am," Olivia said softly, scooting closer to her hurt partner.
"She doesn't want me back," he whispered. "I practically begged her to let me come home, and she doesn't want me there. She's moved on." Against her better judgment, Olivia scooted even closer to him, until their legs were touching slightly. Then, with a small degree of hesitation, wrapped her arm around him and rested her head on his shoulder. He tensed for a second, then sighed as he relaxed into her embrace.
"I know it doesn't seem like it, El," she started softly. "But it will get better. You just have to keep holding on."
He nodded and trembled a little, and she bravely tightened her arm around him, trying to shield him from the sudden bitterly cold winds. "El?" she whispered, and he moved a little closer into her embrace. "You should go inside. It's really cold out here."
He looked up at her and reluctantly rose to his feet, heading to his front door, and Olivia jammed her hands into her pockets, then headed down the steps. But as he laid his hand on the doorknob, he inhaled deeply and turned around. "Hey, Liv?"
She turned around to face him, her eyes bright. "Yeah, El?"
He flashed her a heart melting grin, then said, "You want to come up and hang out for a little bit? Maybe order Chinese and watch a movie?"
"El," she stuttered with a laugh. "It's almost three in the morning!"
He shrugged his broad shoulders. "So? It's twenty four hour delivery. Come on, Liv. Please?" he pleaded, batting his eyes playfully. She shook her head and looked at the ground, then looked up at Elliot again and smiled, darting up the steps to stand in front of him.
"Okay, fine," she sighed with fake exasperation, and his smile widened as he wrapped his arm around her waist and guided her inside.
The End...
A/N: Hahaha, I know it was short, but doesn't that make soooo much more sense? Leave a review and let me know!
