Percy's POV

I feel lonely and abandoned. Forgotten, betrayed. That is why I moved away from everyone I used to care about. I guess I should Explain…. Well, it all started when I found Annabeth on the beach…

Todays the day, I though, the day I propose to the love of my life. I walked out to the beach, I saw Annabeth with another guy. It was my half-brother Jake, and they were making out. Suddenly, I felt a tug in my gut. A wave crashed on top of them. "Annabeth, how could you!" I yelled. She turned around. "Percy it isn't what it looks like!" She said, but I ignored her. "No, Annabeth. It's exactly what it looks like. You're cheating on me with my own brother!" I screamed. I threw the little velvet box that held the ring I was going to give to Annabeth beside her. I saw her pick it up, and open it. She looked at the ring, which I had the Leo engrave wise girl on the side. "Percy, I…" she started but I was already gone.

I had run back to my cabin, packing up everything I brought to Camp. I decided to Iris Message my mom and Paul. I made a rainbow in the fountain and threw in a drachma. "Oh Iris, Goddess of the Rainbow, please accept my offering." I said into my rainbow. "Show me Sally Jackson." The image I saw just made my heart ache more.

My mother and Paul were on the porch of their new house, with a baby in a portable crib. "Oh, this is so much nicer without Percy around." Said my mom.

"I know, it feels nice to have a normal kid." Paul replied.

"I feel the same way. Not having to worry about if he's going to die. Frankly, I don't know why I cared in the first place." They didn't know that I was watching. Until I let out a strangled sob. "Percy!" my mother exclaimed.

"Mom, I heard every part of that conversation, don't try to lie to me. You don't love me." I said. I swiped my hand through the mist, cutting the connection.

I decided to stay at camp, so I went out of my cabin to see Grover or one of my other friends, but I saw them all, walking. They waved my over. "HI Percy. What's wrong?" asked Grover, seeing my tear stricken face. I told them all about Annabeth, and my mom. "Geez, man that's tough." Leo replied, "But Jake would never do that." I was so mad, I ran to the lake and I jumped in it. I swam to my dad's palace. When I saw him, he told me that Jake was his favorite son. I swam back to camp, and emerged from the water. Then, I realized that I was wet. Wet. Soaked. Wet. Poseidon disowned me. I felt so alone.

I knew what I had to do. I went into my cabin, and took out riptide. I held it up to my neck, and inched it slowly toward me. I slit my throat. I lay there, on the floor, slowly dying. A note in my hand. It read:

Dear Anyone who finds me,

I am probably dead by now, but you wouldn't care no one does, so I have one request, and one request only. Tell Annabeth, I loved her, and I thought we had something special.

Percy Jackson

And with that I died. On the day all my friends betrayed me. I was murdered, by the ones I held near. Their words and actions, killed me, Perseus Jackson, Savior of Olympus, Slayer of Titan King, Kronos, Lord of Time, Defeater of Gaea, Goddess of the Earth.
