There was only half an hour before the wedding and Ron was standing in front of his mirror. He kept fiddling with his dress robes, trying to make them as smooth and straight as possible. He also kept brushing his fingers through his bright orange hair and trying to keep it contained and off his face. Alright Ron, you don't look too bad after all! She'll definitely take notice of you. Calm down! It's only a wedding! You look fine! His mind kept telling him.
Harry popped the door open, "Mate, your mum wants us downstairs. Stop messing with your hair, you look fine." Harry took a closer look at Ron and realized what he was nervous about, "Look, she already likes you for who you are and she doesn't expect you to turn into some model."
Ron blushed a deep shade of red. Harry smirked and walked down the stairs. Ron turned back to look at himself one last time and took a deep breath.
There was only twenty minutes before the wedding started and Harry and Ron were rushing around the Burrow and tent trying to find Hermione. They finally found her sitting in the garden reading a book.
"Bloody hell Hermione! We've been running around for ten minutes trying to find you and you've been sitting here reading a book the whole time?" Ron said while clutching his side because of a cramp.
Usually after he said something like that she would come up with a sarcastic retort but instead she replied, "Oh no! I'm so sorry! I completely lost track of time!"
"Ah, it's okay, we still have twenty minutes, but we do need to get in our positions soon," said Harry.
"Positions? You make it sound as if we are fighting a battle!" said Hermione.
"Well, with my mum, it basically is." Ron said while Harry and Hermione laughed.
Hermione gasped, "Oh Merlin's beard! I still need to change! What is wrong with me?" She lept off the bench and ran inside.
"Good start," said Harry to Ron.
"Shut up."
A few minutes before the wedding would begin, Harry and Ron were sitting in their seats. Ron kept fidgeting and looking around for Hermione.
"Where is she?" he muttered. Harry sighed, "Calm down! She'll get here, she still has-" he looked at his watch "-two minutes."
Right after Harry said that Ron saw Hermione running towards them from the house. Her hair was still down and a bit unruly looking, but Ron thought it looked beautiful. Her red dress was lower cut than the few other dresses she wore and Ron couldn't help but stare at her. Harry snapped his fingers in front of his face and Ron shook head.
"Have I missed anything?" she asked as she sat down next to Ron.
"Umm, no, we got here only a few minutes ago," sputtered out Ron.
"Oh, wonderful!"
Ron stared at Hermione. He realized she'd put on a bit of makeup and her hair was more curly rather than frizzy.
"You look nice Hermione! Don't you think Ron?" Harry nudged Ron on the shoulder.
"Uh, yeah, yes, you look beautiful," Ron practically whispered the words. Hermione blushed, "You look quite nice yourself, Ron."
The wedding music started playing and Hermione stood up so fast that the small beaded bag she was holding fell down to the ground. With surprising speed, Ron bent down and picked it up. It was much heavier than he expected.
"Here," he stammered as he handed it back to Hermione who was blushing more than ever, "Thank you."
Harry couldn't help but roll his eyes.
