Hi guys. This isn't the third Addiction equals reality, but I can assure you that I'll most likely be getting to that in March 2019. This story is more of an insight into what Morgan's been up to for the past year since he came back from the How To Train Your Dragon world, and a result of my pure excitement at the new trailer today.
Excitement gives you high energy, and makes every depressing vibe ascend into hyperactive vibes. Yet, would you believe it if somebody told you that they've been feeling high energy due to recently being in one of their favorite 'fictional' worlds? you probably wouldn't, and you'd brush it aside as a joke, but in Morgan's case, that was far from a joke. It's now been over a year for him since he somehow, and luckily, woke up in the How To Train Your Dragon world, and his life ever since has been exciting and energetic, mainly in anticipation of his return to the HTTYD universe after the third film. However, something needs to be taken to account; he woke up in the HTTYD world without expecting it, and it was probably a rare occurrence, so the question has to be asked; will his return actually happen despite all of this excitement? nobody knew, it could happen now, or any time, or never again.
Morgan's been working in a little shop near a beach, and although the money for it was incredibly below what he SHOULD be earning for an 18 year old, money was money, and his current job was basically a child in comparison to the real jobs he'll be looking to grab in the future. He still couldn't believe that it was already a year ago, (from April 2017), that he managed to fulfill his dream by waking up and staying in the How To Train Your Dragon universe. He was a gigantic fan of the movies, and his mindset hadn't changed as a result. However, what he actually did towards the final moments of his time in that universe was, for him, the main event. You only need to be told that it was a certain type of relationship to get the message.
Morgan was dusting the corners of the concrete entrance of the shop, and his arms felt like they were about to fall off. Because, of course, he was a super fan of colorful tops, he had a black and red striped top on, alongside his grey shorts and trainers. The spring was, after all, hotter than usual. As Morgan could feel his head itch from all of the sweating, he could hear his boss calling on him.
"Morgan, come here mate!" his boss said, sitting on the counter as Morgan sighed of relief from no longer having to dust.
The shop was empty, it was darkening outside, and Morgan's feet felt like jelly. He walked alongside the toy section of the shop, placing the duster near one of the outside bars. He's about to finish a super long shift, starting from 12PM to now, 9PM.
"You alright?" he asked Morgan.
"Yeah, yeah, man, I hate dusting, haha..." Morgan said, wiping his top.
"It's work mate, you've gotta get used to it. Go and get the window locks and the covers, you know what to do, yeah?"
"Sure, I'll do it now" Morgan said, walking towards the back door to grab the gloves.
As he walked, the anticipation of seeing the How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World trailer got to his head; he felt energetic, and he had an urge to just shake his hands about and jump like a kangaroo. If there was one aspect of the new film Morgan was unsure about, though, it was the new Night Fury, or White Fury. Why would that be the case? again, it all has to do with what he did towards his final times in the HTTYD universe. He didn't like that she was potentially going to draw Toothless away, though, not in the slightest. Even more so than the other dragons themselves leaving.
He stepped outside, wearing the ripped gloves, holding onto the wooden red window covers. Using his strength, he ducked down and grabbed the first one, slipping around, but he managed to stand up straight. He gently and slowly slid the cover onto the slots, before pushing the cover up into place. He got his thumb trapped in the corner briefly, but it didn't make him drop the cover. When it was in place, he held onto his thumb and rubbed it.
"OH MY GOD!" Morgan said, as the pain felt unbearable in his thumb.
There were still three more to get through, unfortunately.
After about five minutes, Morgan and his boss were stood right outside the shop as it was being locked. The two of them shook hands just as Morgan was about to leave for home.
"Alright matey, don't let me down, okay? 12PM tomorrow, if you're gonna be late, text me and then I'll know, alright?"
"Yeah, alright. See you later!" Morgan said.
"Have a good one mate!" his boss nodded, as Morgan started to walk off on the pavement.
With his feet feeling weak, Morgan didn't want to walk, but now that he's finished his shift, he can turn to the main thing he's anticipated all day; the trailer for the Hidden World. Nobody else will be able to feel how Morgan's feeling about it, because he was the one who actually woke up there last year. Despite his uncertainty about the Light Fury, Morgan was curious and fascinated, and he was ESPECIALLY excited to see how Toothless was looking. It's going to be like looking at people you know personally after a year of not seeing them; something which, again, only Morgan could feel, because he, as a long time passionate HTTYD fan, woke up there last year. Hiccup...Astrid...Toothless...Cloudjumper...he just couldn't wait to see how they're all looking.
He took out his Samsung Galaxy S5, unable to wait for getting home, and turned his data on. Morgan instantly browsed on the forums he had joined, the one specifically containing the HTTYD fanbase, and his heart felt like it had stopped when he read the first thread title he could see:
HIDDEN WORLD TRAILER OMG
Seeing that title made Morgan even more excited, and all shakey. He couldn't believe that it was finally time to see the dragons and the vikings he was with in person last year. He turned off his data and slid his mobile phone into his pocket, rushing off towards his estate. He's been waiting for this moment since his experience, and he wasn't going to waste any time in getting back home as a result.
One concern that Morgan's had, since last year, is just that; it's been over a year now, and nothing's happened. Even though he's made a pledge to only return to the HTTYD world after the third movie, there's that tiny hope in him that he'll be able to emerge there beforehand. He's also talking as if it'll happen just because he wants it to. The chances are, for him to return, he'll have to be in a situation where he's not even thinking about it. He doesn't control when it happens, and it might not even happen again. And it was already complex enough; he was there for three months, when in fact, only ONE night had passed in 'our world' the entire time.
Despite those concerns, Morgan was instantly recalling his moments whilst he was there; meeting Toothless and Hiccup in PERSON, and initially, the whole Tuffnut debacle. Then, Cloudjumper, Valka and Eret had returned from what was supposedly a journey to find another Night Fury, but they had failed. Morgan had easily recalled Cloudjumper's size being an intimidating factor, but in the end, it all worked out well. He also remembered the election that Hiccup called, during his time there, too.
But despite the election, Morgan's biggest and arguably, emotional highlight was the turn of events after he had supposedly left Berk that night. What happened to him was something that had peculiar and unexpected written all over it. Morgan still holds that memory in his head, and he's not letting it go.
Finally, after ten minutes of walking, Morgan reached the end of his estate, and he walked into his house. Instantly walking into the dark conservatory and switching on his laptop, Morgan wasted no time in loading up his browsing tabs and the forums, to find the Hidden World Trailer. He put it to full screen.
"Go on then Toothless, show me how you've been..." Morgan said to himself, as everybody else in the house was asleep, so they wouldn't hear him talking to himself.
And thus, he began watching the trailer.
Hearing that line, 'there were dragons when I was a boy' didn't make Morgan happy, but as soon as he saw Berk, filled with Dragons, his energy and smile emerged to a whole new level.
"O-Oh my god?!" Morgan said, at the new Light Fury.
He isn't happy by her potentially drawing Toothless away, but that didn't stop him from looking at her with shock.
"There he is!" Morgan added, seeing Toothless.
All of this felt like it was live, due to Morgan once being in their world. He was getting those vibes again of being there, from the trailer alone. After the trailer finished, Morgan clicked on a note pad program and took his hands off of the mouse. He was happy with the trailer, but as somebody who's physically been in the HTTYD world, and somebody who intends on returning there to continue from where he left off, he wanted to write up his specific plans.
His fingers typed all over the keyboard like the clappers. Just the thought of seeing Toothless in person and everybody else had given him more energy than ever, and his excitement of that potentially becoming a reality again had only made him more and more sweaty with hyperactive thoughts.
1. Find out wherever the hell I may end up, if I manage to get to it again.
2. When I've done that, try and either find Toothless and the Light Fury, or if not, find the village.
(hopefully I'll end up near the dragons or whatever)
3. If I find them, somehow, and neutrally, approach Toothless and see if he remembers me. If he doesn't remember me, then I'll be devastated. If he does, he'll already know why he remembers me. I wanna embrace him and stay with him, and then maybe we can continue where I left off with him.
4. Try and establish a peaceful friendship with the Light Fury? ehh, she seemed easily spooked in the trailer, so chances are it'll be hard. But if I return to doing what I did with Toothless in the past, she'll probably be aggressive, and Toothless might not even want to either. I just need to try it anyways, worth a shot.
Morgan was so confident that he'll return post the third film that he's gone ahead and written those four steps into a notepad on his laptop, for his plans after the third film.
"Stay away from Toothless, I was where you were meant to be ages and ages ago, you Girly Fury" Morgan said, just pausing the trailer, somehow getting angered at the sight of the Light Fury being with Toothless.
Yes, it's true; Morgan doesn't like the Light Fury as much for just that; being Toothless's partner. But if you look at what Morgan did prior to his return home, you'll soon find out why this means so much to him. To give you a hint, it had to do with feelings he had, and feelings he STILL has, more than ever, prior to waking up in the HTTYD world initially. But the risk of all of this is that it might not even happen again; Morgan cannot control whether or not he manages to get back, and it's been well over a year since it happened. Morgan felt like he had to try, though.
"Only...uh...9 months to go, Toothless, I'll see you real soon...hopefully..." Morgan said, closing his laptop and heading to bed.
He was worried that if nothing's happened for over a year, then it won't happen again, but Morgan was still trying to remain optimistic about getting lucky again to return to the HTTYD world.
How To Train Your Dragon fans come and go, but Morgan, being nearly 19 years old, may just be the most craziest, and luckiest, for even being able to go into the HTTYD universe in the first place. The question is, will that ever happen again? come March 2019, when Morgan tries to do it, he'll soon find out if his luck remains, or if it's died out.
I'm super excited for the third film, but I'm also excited to get back to writing Addiction equals reality after it comes out. Hope you all enjoyed this one-shot.
