So are You

Wendy broke off another wedge of orange and nibbled away. Dr. Langston was dusting crumbs off his tie (yes, he came back with another one) with mild frustration. Catherine was fiddling with a necklace Warrick Brown supposedly gave her, while talking to her daughter on the phone. Riley and Greg were staring at Hodges as he took a bite of...what was that?

"What is everyone looking at?" Hodges asked obliviously.

"Hodges, what are you eating?" Wendy asked blatantly.

"It's yellowtail sashimi." He stated, equally flat. "You people have no class."

"Hodges, we have enough class to tell that's not yellowtail, or if it was, it was seriously marred then little Kobe tried to sculpt it to look like my grandmother." Wendy returned smartly.

"I"ll have you know Kobayashi Maru has very good artistic skills." Hodges feigned hurt and continued to eat.

"I'm sure your cat is very talented Hodges, but right now, everyone has cases so let's go." Catherine sighed.

"Hey Hodges, do you think your cat could paint me a Matisse?" Greg joked. Riley smacked his arm gently and pulled him along.

"He mostly does watercolor portraits!" Hodges shouted after them.

"That's nice." Catherine scoffed.

"Must you try to dress down my superior intellect every chance you get?" Asked Hodges.

"Only when I'm bored." Wendy bit off the end of another orange wedge and shmucked it with satisfaction.

"You're just jealous." Hodges murmured to himself.

"Jealous of what?!" Wendy asked, following him out.

"My wit and finesse. My charismatic charm that no one but me and Grissom could ever pull of." Hodges smirked.

"Excuse me? Your charismatic charm? What charm? You have no charm! You're a middle aged, graying nerd." Wendy raised her thin eyebrow. The two had a very special system; he was attracted to her, everyone knew that but her, and although she would rather eat her hair than admit it, she was attracted to him too. When the insults came flying it was their way of flirting...so one could say they flirted a lot.

"Well you're a middle aged man in a middle aged woman's body!" Hodges almost pouted.

"So are you."

"That comeback is so old."

"So are you."

"Now you're just annoying."

"So are you."

"Granted you are adorable." Hodges smirked as her face remained still and stubborn but a cherry pink blush spread to her ears.

"So are you."
