She was blue.

The color of her hair

That was seen in her eyes

Which you could stare into for hours

Drown in them as if vast oceans to freely swim

That was her.

Ignoring my feelings was green.

The color of envy

That feeling you get where she didn't give the time of day

But fell deeper into love with another

Giving you a desire to steal her for yourself

So very green.

Talking to me was orange.

The color of success

That feeling that her mind wished to communicate

To get to know you for you

And possibly make you more in love

So very orange.

Stumbling around me was brown.

The color of awkwardness

That stumble she took with every glance

Even a light brush of the fingertips

Would send her into shock

So very brown.

Returning my feelings was red.

The color of love

That feeling as she spoke those three words

As you stood baffled

Your blood unable to keep up with the pace

So very red.

Smiling at me was yellow.

The color of joy

That joy when she would cling to your arm

Say how much she loved you

Then proceed to brighten your day up endlessly

So very yellow.

Blushing at my proposal was pink.

The color of affection

That tint captivating her fleshy cheeks

As you kneeled to the ground

Asking one question to achieve that look

So very pink.

Walking towards me was white.

The color of perfection

That dress flowing with each graceful stride

Fingers interlocking once by your side

Through sickness and in health

So very white.

Kissing me was purple.

The color of lust

That urge to finally get to touch one another

Gently examining every nook on her body

As your explored each other together

So very purple.

Receiving a call was gray.

The color of sorrow

That tear that rolled down your face

A notification indicating some very bad news

As you headed towards her beckoning call

So very gray.

Dying in my arms was black.

The color of death

That look in her eyes as she promised forever

Crying as she knew that she couldn't hold on

Slowly closing them as you told her those three words

So very black.

She was blue.

The color of depression

That blank stare into nothingness

As her coffin lowered into the damp ground below

Leaving you in a state to never recover

But so was I.
