I'm Not Afraid of Anything
Disclaimer: I don't own this any of this. song is jason robert brown's I'm Not Afraid of Anything from Song's For a New World.
Zora is afraid of water. I mean she swims so well, but still, she's afraid of water. So, when the whole cast wanted to go the beach, she refused.
"I'm not going," she told us.
"You don't have to get in the water Zora," I explained.
"Sonny, just drop it," Tawni said as she jabbed me in the side.
So we went without her. I just couldn't wrap my mind around why someone would be afraid of a necessary life source.
I mean, I'm not afraid of anything.
And Tawni
Tawni's afraid of darkness. She sleeps and all, but still, she's afraid of darkness. So when the lights went out because of that freak summer storm, she held my hand the whole time.
"Don't let go. Please," she begged.
"Okay. Don't be scared," I tried to soothe her.
When the lights came back on, she released her grasp and went on with her work. Every time I tried to ask her what happened that day, she avoided me.
How could someone be afraid of the dark?
I'm not afraid of anything. Be it mountains, water, dragons, dark, or sky. I'm not afraid of anything. My mother says that that is why I succeed, but I'm not so sure.
My father, before he left us, always said he was afraid of babies. He never said why.
I guess that he was scared of what they'd be...
Not me.
My mother is afraid of crying. She always tries to hold it in, especially after all we've been through, but every once in while I see her.
"What's wrong Mom?" I'll ask.
"Nothing for you to worry about Love," and then she'd drop it.
And sometimes, I catch her looking at me with tears stuck in her eyes, and I just can't figure out why.
I'm not afraid of anything, like growing old or going out of style.
I'm just not afraid of anything. Who would give up what they want without a fight?
My whole life has been about taking chances and living for the moment. I never give up and I never back down.
It's like I hear the calling of adventure. Lights are shining and trumpets are blaring. It's my time to shine.
I can picture the view of tomorrow, and I feel it stirring in my bones.
And Chad loves me. Chad Dylan Cooper loves me.
He's afraid to hold me.
"Don't you want to snuggle?" I asked him, while we were watching a movie at his house.
"Not now," he said.
And the day I was upset.
"I need a hug," I told him.
"Not now," he said.
But he loves me.
He's afraid to tell me.
He's afraid to trust me.
And he'll always be.
Chad's afraid of me.
But I'm not afraid of anyone. I'm positive I'll win with anyone at all. I'm not afraid of anyone. Not a soul alive can get behind these walls. So watch them all try to bring me down. They will never succeed.
Because, after all,
I'm not afraid.
A/N: did you like it? Review then! This is just a little one shot about something I believe Sonny thinks about every day.
