Supposed to be doing my homework...but meh. Anyway was watching the scene when Felicity tells Oliver "I don't want to marry you" which caused me to cringe when Oliver started to do a fake laugh...which wasn't fun. Anyway then I was like "hmmmm" and an idea came to me. You need to know that Felicity has an ex-fiancé (who died), Oliver knows that she had an ex-fiancé, and Felicity and Oliver never got engaged in season 4...that's about it. I am hoping this will be a one shot. Who knows?

Felicity looks into Oliver's gentle eyes which seem sad and worried "Are you asking me to marry you?" Felicity asks cautiously thinking she is hearing things. Oliver looks unsure as his gaze shifts to the floor.

"I don't know" he suddenly replies looking at his hands, then back up at her. Her face scrunches up in confusion and he knows that she can read him like a book "I mean yes"

Felicity glances behind her outside the window, and looks at the night sky. Oliver places a hand on her shoulder causing her to turn around.

"Oliver, I-" Felicity says looking at her hands feeling like she should know the answer straight away. But she can't answer. She doesn't want to jump further into the relationship, without asking the one man that she knows should have at least a say.

Oliver's gaze is now on her and she can feel it digging into her. She can't say no because she knows that she does want to marry him. But she can't say yes because it's not just her choice that Oliver needs.

Felicity puts a strand of her hair behind her ear, and looks at Oliver "I haven't decided yet but...can I take some time to think about it" she asks smiling, so he knows that he hasn't done anything wrong.

Oliver nods his head "Of course" taking her hand in his and giving it a slight reassuring squeeze back.

"I'll just be outside" she says turning around and heading for the door.

-xxx-

Felicity stops right outside the door and looks up to the sky, a smile appearing on her face "Hey, Jess" she says walking up to hold onto a lamp on the pavement, still looking up at the sky.

She takes a deep breath before continuing "I don't know if you heard but...my boyfriend just asked me to marry him" she laughs looking at her hands "this must be a bit weird since your my ex-fiancé but...will it be okay if I say yes?"

Felicity closed her eyes only to be met with a blast of wind in her face causing her to chuckle "I'm guessing that's a yes"

A tear ran down her cheek and she bit her lip "I miss you Jess..." she paused blinking away her tears "but I want you to know, that Oliver does make me happy"

She sighed looking behind her through the windows, at Oliver who was talking to Barry and Iris and then turned back to the sky "My mom keeps telling me that you are proud of me...is it true?"

Felicity was yet again met with a blast of wind in her face "Thanks, Jess...you always saw the good in people"

Felicity put a strand of hair behind her ear "I better go back inside, Oliver is probably wondering why I am taking so long...Goodbye Jess" she said as she turned around. But before she could open the door, Barry came out and grinned at her.

"Sorry. Did I just intrude on your thoughts-" Barry started putting his hands up.

"No. It's okay Barry...I just needed to talk to a friend" Felicity replied glancing at Barry then back at the sky.

Barry noticed what she was looking at and realised what she meant "Felicity...Jess wants you to be happy, just like I do" he starts to smile at her "Which also means he wants you to move on with your life"

Felicity nods her head "I know"

Barry wraps an arm around her shoulder and hugs her "Your doing the right thing, Lis"

"I hope so"

Felicity walks up to Oliver, beaming at him "Yes"

Oliver wraps his arms around her waist, bringing her into him and kisses her lightly on the lips and sighs.

Felicity puts her head underneath his chin "For better or for worse"
