Erasing the Scars
The wedding had gone great, and two years later, the couple had grown even more intimate. They were happy. The fox vessel however, was quite the opposite. Sure, he was a great hokage, and even had his own team of genin, but he still had the wounds. He forced himself to forget about it, but the wounds remained, never healing.
Another year later, not much had changed, his life still prosperous. Except the house seemed so big, the meals too big, and his life the most big, for one person. He resumed his duties, still thinking about her, coveting his friend. He was still disturbed, as with his dreams, and the wounds remained, never healing.
And yet, a final year later, something changed. His life became good, if only for a day. That night as he lay under the stars, his cherry blossom gave him hope, and had erased the scars.
