There I was.

Up on stage.

Brilliant.

The idiot had to chose me to sing karaoke with someone I did not even know.

How poetic. How exiting. How... Disney.

I was glad he chose another girl to sing with me, and the song was a duet of 'Radioactive'.

She took a deliberate breath and sang out (pretty well may I add) "I'm waking up, It's ash and dust."

My turn. "I wipe my brow and I sweat my rush."

She grinned at me... did I get the words wrong?

Looking down at the screen by our feet, I cringed.

Yeah. I did.

She shrugged, and we carried on.

We finished the song, complementing each other, completely oblivious to the audience or their reaction.

When we eventually looked down below the stage, their mouths were open. They seemed... impressed.

She blushed, nudging me and whispering "Can we get off now?"

"Oh.. yeah!" Looking at my watch, we had been standing there for almost 5 minutes, the audience gawping at us whilst we gawped at them.

I climbed down. But this was me we are talking about.

So I had to slip. Of course I did.

I fell off of the third step and into someone's arms.

"China!" I pulled myself up and pushed them away, thinking it was my best friend "I'm fine!"

"I'm.. not China." The voice was low and deep, cautious. "Neither am I France, Italy, Spain.. come to think of it I might not even be fully English."

"I'm sorry.." I turned around to see who it was.

He had dark brown hair pushed back, his mouth was set in a lopsided grin.

"Laura! That was awesome!" He gushed, turning to the girl I had sung with.

"What's yours?" Laura titled her head in my direction.

"Georgia." I blushed.

"Well, Georgia, this is my brother Stiles. And his girlfriend Lydia." She added in.

Was it really so easy to see I thought he was cute?

Lydia emerged from the crowd, her strawberry blonde hair shining in the lights, her lips a deep red colour.

Shit. She was beautiful. No wonder Stiles was looking at me like I was some sort of child.

"Hey! Georgia!" China came to rescue me, seeing the awkwardness that was written across my face. "Oh my goodness! That was brilliant!"

I smiled as she dragged me towards the bar; I grabbed Laura and we created a chain, heading towards the only place in the whole club with seats.

We threw ourselves into the three of the last five remaining chairs, they were vanishing like flies after all.

"That feels so good, to sit down!" Laura exclaimed, sighing in pleasure as she wiggled her toes "I ache all over!"

"Same." I agreed as China got two shots of Vodka.

"What do you want?"

"I'll have a shot of whisky please." Laura answered.

"Adventurous." I smiled and she grinned in return.

"Just wait til you get to know me. I'm 110% mental, 80% broccoli."

"That is the best way to be." China and I chorused and we all drank in unison.

"Girls' night out, eh? Can we join?"

We turned around, puzzled, the voices were not in the slightest way female.

There were two men, one with lilac hair and glasses, the other with a messy brown fringe; they were both wearing blue spotted shirts and were holding

hands.

The three of us grinned, the confusion disappearing and we all yelled over the music "Sure!"
