Geography Club Alternate Ending
"If you don't come to that meeting tomorrow, I'll know to let go and that you've made your decision."
"It doesn't have to be like this Russell. We can still be together, just secretly."
Kevin put his hand on Russell's cheek and leaned into kiss him.
"No, I can't do this. It's either the football team or me. You care about me or not."
"You know I care about you. I care about you a lot."
Russell wiped away a tear running down his face and quickly walked out of the supply closet. He could see out of the corner of his eye that Kevin was on the verge of crying.
"Russell, wait!"
Kevin came out of the closet and in close to Russell.
"Russell, I know that we've had our share of fights and I know that I don't deserve you at all. But I love you and that's all that matters right? I just hope you know that. If you can't forgive me, then I don't know what I'm going to do with myself. Just… forgive me. Please."
"I'll only forgive you… if you can prove to me that you miss me."
"You know what you want I can't do."
"Then you didn't really mean what you said."
"Yes I did Russell. I meant all of it."
Kevin put one hand on Russell's face and the other one of his waist and pulled him in close. Russell smiled while Kevin took a deep breath and leaned in slowly to kiss him. He brushed his lips up lightly up against Kevin's.
"I've missed you so much Russell. Nothing compares to my love for you. Now football, not my family, not myself. Is this enough proof for you to believe me?"
"Maybe I need a little more."
Kevin smiled at Russell and leaned in once again to kiss him. They were in public and Russell knew that Kevin meant everything that he said. He was loved for the first time that he could remember. He knew that Kevin had not wanted anyone to know about them, but he had just kissed him in front of the entire school and the geography club. He knew that things might not work out with them, but he was willing to take that chance.
"How 'bout we leave and go somewhere a little more private?"
"Like where?"
"Anywhere with lots of people and food."
"Always hungry huh?"
"Shut up brains."
Kevin leaned back into Russell and kissed him while he heard snickers of classmates watching and judging.
"I love you brains. Don't ever forget that."
"Coming from you, I won't. I love you too."
Kevin let go of Russell's waist and curled his fingers around them. They both smiled and walked along the crowded hallways, among all the judging and snickers, not caring at all.
