From a entry by An Rubha - Magma
I must admit, I do get quite antsy, having to look after and provide for the eggs and hatchlings. I wish to travel, to hear the news and view locations that other members of the group call home. We're spread out over a wide range of habitats, and although I do get visits and hear news secondhand, it would be a great thing to talk to the others personally. Some of them I've not seen in months.
However, for now I have to stay and tend to the eggs and hatchlings. Those that I can, anyway. The Glaucus hatchlings had to be moved to join the adults, since they seemed really miserable. The others seem to be getting along, although the constant noise of the Howler disturbs everyone. And I have to tend to the eggs as well, making sure that they don't get too hot. Or cold, for that matter.
My own egg gets closer to hatching. Never thought I'd have family of my own. Still not quite used to the idea. In a way, I suppose, I wasn't ready to settle down. My mate...surprised me one day, soon after I'd become an adult. After we'd mated, he moved on, and I was left to tend the eggs, much as I've always done. Only now, one of the eggs is mine.
Ah, I get so restless at times like these! I am not one to stay in one place for days on end. I wish to visit with others and hear tales of their journeys, to see different places with my own two eyes! Ah, how I envy my mate and the freedom he has, sometimes.
I suppose it is time to stop writing and get on with looking after the eggs, and hatchlings. And so my job continues...

A/N: Not the first to do this, by any means, but it is a nice idea. There will be more entries from different dragons in upcoming chapters.
