"Saw a butterfly, sitting on your right shoulder…"

Rin sang without joy in her voice. Even so her fans didn't really care, they just came for her music. It's not like they cared about her personal life.

The reason Rin was so depressed was because her brother was in a coma do to him collapsing on stage a couple of weeks ago. He over did himself. He barely got any sleep, and he still went to concerts. He didn't tell anyone about how he was feeling, heck, he didn't even tell his own sister.

Rin teared up at the thought. They were supposed to be inseparable. They told each other everything, shared everything, and yet Len couldn't tell her one simple thing...

Nothing was the same anymore. She didn't want to sing. Singing was supposed to make people smile, but how can you make people smile if you don't have a smile on your face…

Suddenly Rin remembered something from when she and Len were little, maybe eleven years old.

"Rin, you have to sing this song by yourself, there will be other songs where we can sing together."

Rin shook her head.

"But I want to sing with YOU Len." Rin argued.

"Its about girly things. See? Read the lyrics? Butterflies, kisses, its not stuff for manly people like me." Len responded.

Rin giggled.

"Len, you are not manly. Your voice is higher than most girl singers." Rin pointed out, having a giggling fit afterwards.

"Really? Those most me some really tough girls…." Len muttered.

"Len, just please sing with me…I kind of sound weird without you….." Rin pointed out.

Len shook his head.

"I didn't want to resort to this…but you leave me know choice. I'll tell everyone that you sing 'Barbie Girl' in the shower ." Rin stated.

Len's eyes widened.

"Fine. I'll come in at the part after 'I learned what it feels to experience true pain'."

Rin nodded.

"Always? Promise?" Rina sked.

"I promise always." Len said solemnly.

Len lied to her. He lied. He was supposed to come. He promised.

Rin continued singing, tears budding up at the corner of her eye. If Len didn't sing with her, she didn't know what she was supposed to do. He promised he would always sing with her.

Suddenly another memory came to her.

"Len, I have something superrrr funny that we could do on Meiko." Rin stated excitedly, stretching out the R in 'super'.

Len chuckled.

"What is it?" He asked excitedly.

"Well, Meiko is checking her documents today. We could slip a piece of paper with her forged handwriting that says, 'Dear future me, I hid twelve thousand dollars in the cupboard that we never use', but instead of putting twelve thousand dollars there, we could put a note that says, 'Just kidding!'. It would be epic!" Rin squealed.

Len laughed

"Lets do it!"

We did the prank. It was hilarious, and Meiko got super mad at herself. She never found out who did it.

Rin's eyes closed.

It was time to sing the part right before Len was supposed to come.

"I learned what it feels, to experience true pain…."

Rin embraced herself. This was the part where Len was supposed to come in.

Seconds before she was supposed to sing Lens part, a blond figure appeared onstage. Rin's eyes widened and the tears she was holding back slipped.

It couldn't be him….he was at the hospital. Probably some guy who's getting paid as his replacement. He did look an awful lot like Len…

This is it. This is the part.

"Piano sounds rebound, in my head they spin round…!"

Tears rapidly came down Rin's cheeks. She knew that this couldn't be someone elses voice, this was Len's voice. Len was here. Just like he was supposed to.

Rin glanced at the blond to make sure it was the real deal.

Len smiled at her, his blond hair in his face like normal.

Rin smiled back.

This was Len, and they were supposed to stick together.

Always.
