Author's Note: This drabble takes place any time after "Santa In The Slush" (3.09). It could be ten years or the next day, and they can be in a relationship or still "just partners". I think my favorite part of this episode was Booth thanking Bones for the gum as he left her office. The idea came to me as I was watching, of all things, Stargate: Atlantis. So at midnight this poured out. Pretty sad when the author's note is longer than the fic huh?
Thanks to Veritas Found for giving this a good beta.
Disclaimer: I don't own Bones, if I did then I would probably be rolling in money right now and not wondering how to pay for college.

"Booth?"
"Yeah?" Booth's disembodied voice drifted in from somewhere in the vicinity of his kitchen.
Brennan sighed and held the offending item gingerly between her left thumb and forefinger. She walked to the kitchen and waggled her hand at him, "What is this?"
Booth cracked a slim smile, "It's not gonna bite you, Bones."
"Clearly not. It doesn't have any teeth – just teeth marks," she was not amused, "and you did not answer my question."
"Your chewing gum."
"I wasn't chewing gum today."
"Two words, Bones: Caroline Julian," Booth took the gum away from Bones and dropped it in the trash. His smile got bigger as he observed her reaction.
"Oh," Brennan's eyes glazed as she recalled the kiss. After a few moments of recollection she sighed, and left in search of her purse.
"Bones?" Booth followed her and found her triumphantly holding a piece of chewing gum.
She popped the piece into her mouth, and walked over to Booth, "I apologize that it's not the same flavor."
"Huh?" Booth had barely completed the mono-syllabic question when Bones drew in close to his mouth.
She removed the gum from her mouth and stuck it on the end of his nose, "Don't lose it."
