Ishida Uryuu hated this.
He hated this school. He hated this country. He hated this day.
After graduating high school, he immediately went into medical school. In this course, at least two years were required for studying abroad. He, along with a couple other students, had made the mistake (at least that's what he thinks) of studying in the States. Why America? Why did I have to choose America? Oh yes, because "they're the strongest nation in the world, at the moment; they must have a good medical program." Pft.
It was already his second year. It's almost over, it's almost over. You can do it, Uryuu. He was already used to the strange shenanigans of Americans, but that didn't make him anymore comfortable. They had such strange holidays every year, like Labor Day. They have enough days off, why get more? Or… St. Patrick's Day.
What was the point of this holiday anyways? He thought as he readjusted his bag. They don't even know what the original holiday was for! He scowled and rubbed his arm as the fifth person pinched him this morning. So uncultured.
Throughout the day, his thoughts were preoccupied with the meaning of St. Patrick's Day. It's only a- his thoughts were interrupted by the thirteenth pinch to his left arm. It's only an excuse to dress stupidly and drink. And pinch unsuspecting people!
His day was filled with pinches: in class, at lunch, in the halls, everywhere! He was entirely sure he'd come home looking like a bruised fruit or something. He was going to use up this week's ice supply just on soothing his sore arms… and cheek. Thanks to that stupid Asano kid. (How'd he get into this school?) He thought for a moment about filing for abuse, but then he remembered the ridicule of last year that he did not want to live through again. He thought about making a green shirt for once (Why did he have to procrastinate on buying green fabric?), but decided it was too late; he was going back to Japan after this year. He sighed as he simply gave up and tried not to think about this stupid day anymore.
When the last bell rang, he almost ran out of the classroom. I have to get home! Before my arms fall off from the pinching! He had almost made it, he was almost out of the school, reaching the entrance when-! He yelped as he felt a quick pinch to his ass. Taken aback, he stopped and swerved around to find the back of a snickering orange-head.
