The Force must have balance, for light cannot shine without dark and dark cannot consume without light. There will be times when one will seem to extinguish the other, but the opposite will always rise again more powerful and determined than before. The balance will be kept by Walkers of the Sky, who will be masters of the Force and more powerful than any other. But be warned. Each Walker of the Sky will live a life of heartbreak and sorrow, much harder than many other beings in the universe. For these are the things that shape the mightiest heroes, and the wickedest villains. The path they choose, Light or Dark, will depend on those they love, and those that love them.
The words were spoken by an old man on his deathbed in a small village. He was considered a wise man, well respected, and his words of the future almost always came to pass. For this reason the villagers scrambled to write down his message and make sure no word was lost before passing it on to their planet's Senator to present to the Jedi Council.
However, when the senator presented the message to the Jedi Council, they scoffed. They had recently won the long war against the Dark Side and were arrogant in their belief that they had destroyed the last of the Sith.
The senator, shocked over the Jedi's reaction and worried for the future, snuck away to the library and hid the scroll among the other documents in the hopes that one day a Jedi capable of heeding the warning would find it.
Nearly a century later, someone would find the old scroll. A young padawan who was serving a punishment for not listening to his master, in charge of converting all the old paper documents to the new computer system. By that point the paper was crumbling and barely legible but the padawan was able to understand the gist of what it said. The Dark Side would rise again. Only a special individual who was strong with the Force would be able to bring balance. But the path of this person, this Chosen One, would be hard. The padawan, a young being named Yoda, tucked the prophecy into the pouch on his belt. It was clear that the rest of the Jedi had not heeded or remembered the message, but Yoda sensed it was of the upmost importance. He would do what he could.
AN: Just a short thing. I was thinking the other day about how Shymi, Anakin, Leia, Luke, and Ben didn't really have the easiest lives ever. And then I thought about the prophecy that's always mentioned in the prequels but never actually spoken. And then this happened.
