Most of the Jedi Temple was spending their time in meditation. It was no different for Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan; both who opted to remain in their shared quarters. Obi-Wan was biting his lower lip, his eyebrows pointing downward. "Erm, Master? Can I ask you something?"

"About what, Padawan?"

He struggled for the right words without giving away his question. If his Master found his general topic pointless, he would remain safe from the worst of the embarrassment. "About... normality."

Obi-Wan's hesitation and anxious expression activated Qui-Gon's inner 'trusted adult.' "These changes can be tough," he said gently. "Even a little scary, but-"

"What are you talking about?" Obi-Wan interrupted.

"Padawan, listen to me." Qui-Gon got down on one knee so that man and boy were eye level. "Everyone goes through it. Everyone."

"'Course they do. It's a fairly common problem." Obi-Wan attempted to grasp the meaning of Qui-Gon's words.

Qui-Gon held up a finger. "Not a problem, my boy, but one of nature's wonderful miracles."

Obi-Wan's eyes widened a fraction. "Whatever you say, however-"

"Before you ask your question, I must make something perfectly clear," Qui-Gon said kindly yet firmly. "You can always ask a trusted adult. And I am honored that you trust me enough that-"

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Three taps on the door broke off Qui-Gon. Obi-Wan moved to open the door and Qui-Gon rose to his feet. Tahl glided in her typical fashion. "Hello, gentleman," her graciousness and vast smile projected her good mood. "Did I interupt something?"

"As a matter of fact, you did," Qui-Gon said with that calm and cool vibe. "If you would excuse us just a little while longer, we can get back to you later."

"Actually, I think I'll ask Tahl instead," a critical Obi-Wan announced.

Qui-Gon's jaw dropped. "Wait; she's not a trusted adult!"

"Thanks a lot!" Tahl scoffed. "Fire away, Kenobi.

"But-no, you see, girls are different!"

"Well, I was researching..."

"The health classes here are minimal, don't-"

"...and I realized some of the data I copied from the Archives loaded real slow. Is there a problem with my computer, or is that normal?"

"It's normal," Tahl promptly replied.

Qui-Gon weakly looked on. "But how...?"

"I know. They expect everything the second they want it. Kids these days!" Tahl grinned.

"Kids these days..."
