A/N: This is my first one-shot/poem thing… Yeah… Anyway, it's about Anne Boleyn. For those of you who are not familiar with her, Anne Boleyn was the second wife of King Henry VIII back in the fifteenth century. She was also the mother of Queen Elizabeth I. Anne was executed on this day, May 19th, 475 years ago on false charges of treason, adultery, and incest. She is a very fascinating person to learn about and highly recommend you read about her. May she rest in peace 3 Also, please review. This is, like I said, my first poem and I've never really written poetry before. I would love to hear any advice you may have for me!
The Most Happy
Anne Boleyn, oh Anne Boleyn,
How could we ever forget such a name?
She fought for love,
She fought for her beliefs.
The world would never be the same.
Her jet black eyes and flowing hair could swoon any man.
Her quick tongue and cleverness brought her respect.
They were not used to her type,
So accustomed to their English flowers.
She defied the rules
And changed the world.
Anne Boleyn, oh Anne Boleyn
You were quite the wild one.
But when it came to Henry
He made you "the most happy" one.
Together you bore Elizabeth, the Golden One.
Everything was perfect.
You didn't see it coming.
You couldn't have known.
One day, the world was yours;
The next, it was all falling apart.
The ones you had grown to love condemned you to death
On false charges that didn't make sense.
We will never forget that dreadful May day.
Anne Boleyn, oh Anne Boleyn,
Although you are gone
You won the fight.
You showed the world that women had a voice and love could be beautiful.
We will never forget you,
Queen Anne, the most happy one.
