Jiggling the seat belt even more, Sakura's labored breath became almost deafening for her. Yanking and tugging at the contraption keeping her from escape, she groaned. There had to be a way out, she wasn't stuck.

The man in the seat across from her grinned into the mirror, refreshing her need to get out ASAP. Teeth digging into soft flesh, Sakura began to bite at her lips and inner-cheek. Blood filled the right side of her mouth as she gnashed and bit down. Fumbling with the strap across her waist, she figured that would be her best alternative. Ripping out the metal would be easy, but she couldn't risk wrenching a muscle. Not when her escape depended on it.

His laughter filled the car, shaming Sakura even further. He said something about her imminent escape, or maybe it was capture, her breathing was too loud now to know. Blood drooled out of her mouth as air puffed out beyond her lips. The trickle was slow, but it still dribbled onto her lap.

Gripping the strap, Sakura began to pull at it. The strap shifted, not enough for her body to slip through, but enough to renew hope. Huffing, she began to rip at the material only for it to catch. Breath stopping in her chest, Sakura focused on the strap across her shoulder. With one hard tug, she realized that the safety measure was shaping up to be a death trap for her.

Damned it all, she thought to herself. If she was correct, this would come undone if she unbuckled herself; but the buckle is stuck. Glancing back up at her kidnapper, her worried frown deepened into something more. While his laughter had ceased, his daunting smile had grown wider.

For the second time since the beginning of their "Date" time froze. Hands clamped over the ensnaring metal, Sakura met his eyes. Forcing a smile, she maintained eye contact while she muscled her way out of his trap. She didn't care if she had broken his car. All that mattered now was the rush of air as she jumped from the car.

Mouth agape, Sakura wheezed as something flew into her mouth. Coughing as she landed on the street, she clawed her away from the screeching vehicle she had just left. Nearing the sidewalk, her senses flooded as she looked to her right. Not for the first time today, Sakura thought about how much she hated this mechanical revolution, the car squealing as it plowed into her.
