Haruka looked down the long, endless hallway, her blonde bangs drifted along the slight breeze across her dark blue eyes. "The wind..." she whispered silently. She closed her eyes and extended her arms slowly. A surge of power filled her heart and she summoned her courage as she raised her head high. "I want to be ... the Wind!" she demanded aloud as her eyes flashed open. The walls that contained her blew apart and released her. The blue and purple satin kimono she had been wearing ripped and shredded from her body, releasing her to the sky.
Her body lifted fast, yet smoothly, onto the airwaves. The warm wind surrounded her, caressing her body softly, carrying her higher and higher. She smiled as she felt her hair thrashing wildly among the fast winds around her. She gazed downward and saw her former land surrounded by the immense blue waves of the sea. The strength and power of the wind ... gentle enough to guide sailors on the sea, yet strong enough to destroy the formidable land and the people on it, she thought. She flew through the air angelically, her skin being bronzed by the beams of the sun shooting through the clouds, and her muscles obeying all her silent commands, no matter how hard she pushed forward. "I am the wind!" she screamed in joy as salty tears ran from her eyes. She finally achieved her dream of losing her mortality to the element she held so dear.
"Haruka!" a distant voice cried. Haruka didn't want to answer. She knew that the voice would just lead her to losing her newfound joy. "Haruka! Answer me!" the voice cried once again. She new the voice was familiar somehow. She knew she loved the person, the same person she herself would have died for. However, her memory was cloudy and she couldn't remember anything but being the wind. She had to decide now on what to do. Answer the voice, or continue in the hearts desire. Such a decision for her was hard to make and she thought carefully. "Please don't leave me! Haruka!" the voice cried again. This time she heard loud sobbing, the kind from intense emotional pain. "I remember that pain ... where no one seems to care and you feel all alone in the world." Haruka looked back down and found the world missing, there was only the sky now. She tuned out the sobbing and smiled. "No world, no decisions." With that, she flew away.

Michiru cradled the body of her best friend; her lover. "Haruka!" she wailed through her tears. She reached for Haruka's bleeding wrist again and tried to apply pressure, attempting to stop the blood. She looked at Haruka's cold eyes once more and knew she had lost the fight against death. "Haruka..." she cried as she lay her dead friend back into the bed. "Why ... why...?" Michiru lay next to her friend and cried. She had never felt a loss so deep and didn't know what to do. "Haruka ... why...?" she whispered. The wind blew in through the window and made Michiru look at the sky. The moon was bright and beautiful as ever. The wind embraced her and seemingly kissed her good-bye.
