Imagine

15 year old Kisa Sohma sighed as she finished the last of her report. The tiger of the 12 of the Zodiac nodded to herself, and then stretched her thin arms over her head. Short whips of orange hair flew into her vision as she lowered her arms back to the small matt she was lying on.

For the last two years she had been staying with Hasuharu, who since running away with her and Momiji over two summers ago had become much more dependable.

Kisa had a part-time job at a small gift shop, wrapping packages, while Momiji taught little children how to read. Kisa could see him now, through a small crack in the curtains of the apartment. He was laying on his stomach in the grass with four little children, two boys and two girls, all listening very attentively to their favorite teacher's words.

A quiet knock on her door startled Kisa out of her musings about her older cousin, and turned her attention towards the one who had started everything in the first place. Hasuharu "Haru" Sohma stood in her doorway with a stern look on his 19 year old face, while Kisa just giggled at his dark disposition.

"It's not my fault you have to work at a club every night, Haru!" Kisa said cheerfully, and then sighed again when Haru walked out. She could tell he was annoyed at being teased about his night job.

The young girl got up from the floor to follow her other cousin. Easily leaving the finished world studies report behind, but not forgotten.

"Just because I have a crappy job doesn't mean you need to laugh about it, Kisa-chan. We have enough to worry about without attracting unwanted attention, make sure you keep this to yourself!" Haru warned, and then stopped his long strides to stare out the window at his blonde haired cousin who was waving goodbye to the children.

"We don't need to be suspicious. As long as no one important knows were here, we'll be alright." He said quietly. His white and black hair from long ago was now dyed full black, and the dark clothes and chains he used to wear had been replaced with a red shirt and some cut jeans.

Kisa admired how he had looked after them over the years. He'd gotten job after job and moved them place to place just so Momiji would not have to be forced into marriage. Kisa's situation was a bit different. She had gotten hurt by Akito quite a bit. The last time she'd been hurt was the last and final straw for her stern cousin. He'd taken the both of them away and he hadn't care about the consequences. Just as long as the two most important people to him were safe.

"We'll be safe, Haru. No one can recognize us this way. Momiji even grew his hair out so he looks even more girly than anyone would expect." The tiger said cheerfully, she knew it came out a bit strained, but she was trying hard to cheer Haru up.

"You don't need to worry so much. It's-"

"Don't say that so easily. If were found we could be killed. Akito would have easily done what she wanted to us, just to make everything go with some plan. We don't mean anything to her, and a new cow, tiger, or rabbit can be brought into the house. You know the history, it's happened before. Those who disobey-"

"Either break away or forever lay cold." Momiji finished as he opened the door to the apartment. "Don't be so harsh to Kisa-chan, Haru-kun. We all know what could happen."

Haru smiled at Momiji then walked over to the long haired rabbit descendent.

"You and poetry. So scary." He joked, then pulled the rabbit by his braid toward the door again.

"Kisa-chan, we'll see you in the morning. Be safe, alright!" Haru called out before he and Momiji left in a rush.

The 15 year old sighed again.

I'll continue happily if I get some reviews and feedback. These are my favorite characters right now in Fruits Basket and there's so much more I could write on this. Kanpai!
