Just a simple One-shot I came up with out of boredom. I hope it's not too crappy haha Anyway, Enjoy! :)
Disclaimer: I do not own David or the logo in my story.
David closed his eyes and inhaled the humid salty air of the ocean and sand and the light scent of a few scattered people alone the shore line of the beach. But the scent of their blood didn't bother him tonight. His coat swayed lightly in the beautiful midnight summers breeze. The stars glowed brightly in the dark endless sky, and the waves in the ocean were calm and soothing. He loved nights like this. So peaceful, so calm, so..perfect. These were the highlights of his time.
Sleep all day,
David could hear the music of the fair rides and loud but distant shouting and laughter from the humans who inhabited the boardwalk of Sana Carla. He caught the delicious scent of his prey and opened his eyes to watch the girl that he guessed was his age as she let the ocean water wash over her bare feet. Well, his physical age anyway. They almost always were. Yes, tonight was perfect, tonight was his night. He had sent his brothers away so he could hunt alone.
He kept his eyes on her as he slipped out a key-chain that he pick-pocketed from her on the boardwalk earlier, out of his coat pocket. He looked down at the key-chain in his hand and ran his thumb over the words dangling from the clasp, Bella Vita, Beautiful Life. He smiled and thought back on his last hunting trip for his perfect prey.
Party all night.
The girl that he had chosen to hunt had been two days before he had actually 'hunted' her. He followed her for two nights, waiting, watching, for the perfect moment. For the perfect night. She had been standing alone on a balcony hidden behind a few planted trees overlooking both the beach and the boardwalk. Her long curly blonde hair swayed with the breeze casting her scent all around her, making David all the more confident about his chosen prey.
He had done the same to her, as he had done with all his other perfect prey. He had her watch in hand when he approached her,
Never grow old,
"Excuse me," David said. She had stared at him with shock that quickly turned to interest as she took in the beautiful clarity of his crystal blue eyes and his perfect features. He held up the watch, drawing her attention to it for a quick second before her gaze immediately went back to roaming his face with a flirtatious expression. "I believe this belongs to you." He finished with a smooth voice.
She had really looked at the watch then and blushed before thanking him. David had watched her swoon when he spoke to her. So predictable, so easy they were, so perfect. He had smiled at her then, knowing he was going to get his way. He always did. The girl wasn't seen again after that.
Never die.
He looked back at his current prey and saw her gazing at the sky, and smelled the honey sweet scent of her blood in the air one last time before his final move. It wasn't the physical attractiveness of the women he hunted that made him hunt them, no. It was the individually unique scent of their blood that drew David in.
He made his way over to the girl with her key-chain in hand, "Excuse me," He said soflty. She gasped quietly under her breath, but David still heard it. He dangled the key-chain in his hand, the words Bella Vita reflected brightly in the light of the midnight sun. David gave her an alluring smile, "I believe this belongs to you."
It's fun to be a vampire.
