BTR Fanfiction 2 Chapter 1

Emmeline's POV
I was very excited as I stepped off the plane with my twin sister, Cecily. We were going to stay at the Palm Woods. Cecily and I were both 17. We loved singing and acting. But that was where the similarities ended. She was totally girly- she wore skirts and dresses, painted her nails a new color almost everyday, wore mascara and lipgloss, talked on the phone constantly, and was basically your stereotypical teenage girl.

I was just the opposite. I was pretty goth- dressing mainly in black, with plenty of black eyeliner. My hair was dyed black, but with electric blue streaks and bangs; I naturally had reddish-brown hair; Cecily's was blonde.

We constantly argued. But today, not even she could dampen my good mood.

Cecily and I stepped into the lobby and approached the front desk. The manager, a Mr. Bitters, gave us a dirty look as we stepped in.

"Ugh! Why can't people wipe their shoes before walking into the lobby? Is it really that hard?"

"Um, hi," Cecily said. "We're kind of new here, so... can you give us a room?"

She gave Bitters our names, and we got our room key and number- 2K. We went up to the second floor. We walked down the hall, looking for our room.

"2I, 2J... 2K! Here we are!"

Just then, four boys stepped out of apartment 2J. "Hi, new here?" One of them asked. "Well, I'm Kendall, this is Logan, that's Carlos, and that's James."
I could tell Cecily liked Logan. Personally, I thought that James was, well, "totally hot", as Cecily would say.

But Kendall was still talking. "We were just going to go down to the pool. Do you guys wanna change and come with us?"

"Sure!" Cecily said, beaming. "We'll be right back." She grabbed my wrist and dragged me into the hotel room.

"Which bikini do you think I should wear? The one with blue and white stripes, the green one with blue polka dots, or the bright yellow one?"

"I don't know." I replied. "How 'bout the yellow one?"

"No, I think the blue and white one."

"Thanks for caring about my opinion." I muttered. "What did you say?" Cecily asked.

"Nothing," I replied.

I decided to wear a purple bikini with black polka dots. "It goes with your hair," Cecily had said.

I put on my flip-flops and we headed out. The guys were waiting outside impatiently.

"Sorry it took so long," Cecily began in a whiny voice. "I couldn't decide if I should braid my hair, have it in a ponytail, or leave it down. And then, of course, I had to decide on which sandals went with my bikini the best..." I rolled my eyes. "Lets go already."

When we got downstairs, the four boys immediately ran and jumped into the pool. Cecily and I decided to go sit down.

"I think James likes you," she said to me quietly.

"What?" I asked. "How do you know?"

"Oh, come on, he hasn't taken his eyes off you this whole time. And I can tell you like him, too." I went bright red and turned away from her.

"I'm getting in the water," I announced.
