I grabbed the shirt Aniki had given to me to patch up; I wanted to return it before I went to sleep. I pulled on my jacket and walked across the way to the Dancing Dove. I scaled the wall and dropped into the top story hall, knocked on Aniki's door. No answer, so I opened it and put the shirt on her bed. I decided to go out the front door. As I walked past Rosto, then I noticed there was a dark stain on his shirt. I looked closer; he was bleeding! I walked up behind him, smiled at Brian, who was talking to him, and bent over to whisper in Rosto's ear, "How long have you been bleeding?"

Rosto smiled, he wasn't shocked to see me, "Didn't know you cared, love."

"I'm not your love. And of course I care, looby! Now how long?"

"A few minutes, it stopped bleeding now though. So I'm fine."

"No, you're not. Where's Kora?"

"Out she'll be back tomorrow. I'll have her take a look tomorrow, does that make you happy? Now, gixie, get going, I have work to do."

"No that does not make me happy, and I'll not get going. C'mon I'll take a look."

Rosto shook his head but excused himself and we walked to his room. I had Rosto sit on his bed and I looked around for some bandages and grabbed a potion from Kora's room. Once I got back to Rosto he was grinning, Gods knew why, then I realized why. I needed him to take off his shirt I looked down, blushed, and mumbled, "Take off your shirt please?"

Rosto's grin grew, "What was that, love?"

I glared, "You heard me, take your shirt off."

He pulled off his shirt and I turned to put the bandages and potion down but heard Rosto gasp in pain, so I spun around. He opened up his cut when he'd pulled off his shirt.

"Stupid cove. Why not just tell me you can't move your arm and have me cut the shirt, no you had to open the wound," I muttered angrily.

He grimaced, "Sorry?"

I just shook my head, and went about cleaning and wrapping the wound, "Do you want to tell me what happened?"

"A challenger."

"Ah," I tied the bandage. "Alright, done."

He smiled and kissed me. I pulled away and glared, "And what do you think you're doing?"

"I was kissing you, as a thank you, lass."

"Next time, I'll hit you."

"Why not this time?"

"You're injured."

"I'll use that."

I didn't have time to complain before he started kissing me. Shockingly, I started to kiss him back; he pulled me closer, and ran his hands down my side. I gasped into his mouth and I felt him smirk. He pushed his tongue inside my mouth when I gasped, I didn't fight it. He pulled back, just a little, our foreheads were still touching. He smiled, "Where did that come from?"

I shook my head, "I…I just. It was…"

He smiled, "Do you love me? You know I love you."

"I can't. You're the Rouge!"

"Can't isn't the same as don't. And I'm not asking if you love the Rouge I'm asking if you love Rosto?"

"I do love you, but…"

"No buts Beka."

"We'll make it work?"

He nodded, "We'll make it work."

I smiled and kissed him, I meant it as a quick peck but then we were kissing with so much passion and love. He pulled us down to the bed and I didn't get much sleep that night.
