L's Teddy Bear
Rain started to gently tap on the window. L looked over in his sleep, his face seemed almost angelic for a killer, L thought as he looked at light's face.
A loud crash of thunder clashed across the sky. L whimpered slightly in fear of the loud noise and hugged his legs, pulling them closer to his chest. Then he laid down on his side of the bed underneath the blanket.
Another crash accompanied by a flash streaked across the sky. Every light in the room flickered off all at once. "Aggh!" L shrieked in terror and he hid completely under the blanket.
Light's eyes flickered open, and when he had his eyes fully open, a loud crash of thunder sounded from outside. He jumped when he felt arms wrap around his midsection.
Light tried to move but the arms wrapped even tighter around him. A very quiet whimper came from under the blanket. "Ryuzaki?" Light asked unsure.
L buried his ace into Light's side as a response. Light lifted up the blanket and saw the outline of L's body, he could feel L's whole body trembling against his.
"Are you afraid of the storm Ryuzaki?" Light asked with a small smirk. L mumbled, "N.. n.. no. I'm just cold."
Thunder cracked across the sky, making L hold Light closer. "Hm. I didn't know the world's greatest detective was afraid of a little thunder and lightning." Light said and dropped the blanket back down over L.
"I'm not afraid." L said stubbornly.
"Yah, right" Light rolled his eyes at L's lie, "So if I leave you here, in the dark, alone with the storm, then you're not gonna be scared?"
"N.. no." L said shakingly and hugged Light closer. "Really?" Light asked in disbelief, and then started to sit up and get out of bed.
L wrapped his arms around Light's waist and kept him from getting up.
Light laughed, "So you are scared."
"I- It's just…" L stumbled to try and defend himself.
Light laid back down and let L cuddle with him, "I guess I can be a teddy bear for tonight."
