"Happy Spirit Day!"
Cat giggled and shoved a purple flower in my face.
What the fuck?
I was walking down the hallway, heading towards the lunch section outside to meet Beck, when Cat and her ever-lasting girlfriend, Marcy, popped up in front of me—purple head to toe.
Cat was in a light purple sundress with royal purple leggings and sandals, and some purple make-up. Marcy had on a purple and black tye-dyed t-shirt, some bell-bottoms, a purple bandana and purple war paint on her face—two horizontal lines on either cheek.
"What the hell is spirit day?"
Marcy groaned, always the one to have a short temper and be extremely impatient like me, and explained: "It's a day for people all around the world to support LGBT-related deaths."
"Oh."
How the hell was I supposed to answer that when I was standing front of two openly (extremely open) lesbian girls?
"Uh… okay…"
Marcy gave me a toothy grin and put the flower behind my ear.
"There. You're supposed to wear purple."

Beck raised his eyebrows at me as I sat down at the table.
"What's up with the purple flower?"
I gave him a small, slightly sarcastic, smile.
"It's Spirit Day, don't cha know?"

AN: Just a little thing to support Spirit Day.
DeviantART, an amazing art community which I am extremely proud to be in, has a whole two days honored for the teen LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, and Transsexual) bullying- related deaths.
