Adrian sighed and stared up at the dark ceiling of his room, unable to sleep and waiting for Jayden to get back from his meeting. The New Yorker knew he needed to get some sleep because he had rehearsals tomorrow, and he kind of needed to be rested.

But he just couldn't sleep. Not without Jayden here with him.

He jumped as Marella hopped onto the bed. "Hey, girl…" he pulled her close and scratched behind her ears. The dog licked his cheek, also waiting for the other man of the household to come back.

"Hm…You miss him too, don't you?"

That was something Adrian always had going through his mind when Jayden was gone. He always missed him, no matter how long he was gone. If they had to be apart for long, the feeling of longing to be with him gnawed at him, kept him up, and, if they parted on bad terms, made him sick. The Rhode Islander made him feel safe and loved, and after having never been in a real relationship with anyone before, when he was gone the void it left was unfillable by anything else.

And—

Suddenly the bedroom door opened and in walked the very person he was thinking of.
