I'm sorry, I just had this... urge to write fluff. I wrote fluff. I may write more fluff.

Though I am still writing Hero and Discord. I got going again today.

Flynn had never had much time for Yuri's antics. Then again, Yuri never had much time for Flynn's stuffyness. And yet, somehow, the two of them always had time for each other. It was a fact that was always a constant surprise to people first meeting them. Most of the knights were amazed at how the Commandant put up with the recurring criminal, scolding him for each mis-demeanour, yet somehow never quite being able to keep the smile from his face. And many of Yuri's friends were perplexed as to why he simply stood there and took it (barring the occasional sarcastic retort). But, despite the clashes, the two remained the fastest friends. This was of the greatest surprise (and irritation) to one Captain Sodia. Despite her best efforts, she could never get the commandant to truly see how bad a person he was. Or perhaps he did see, but simply chose to ignore it. No, the first was much easier to consider.

She was wrong.

Flynn had spent most of the morning, all of the afternoon, and now a lot of the evening, drowning in paperwork. A knock on the door disturbed him.

"Oh, Sodia... Ah, more paperwork I see." He groaned inwardly. "Just put it there." He gestured to the smallest pile. "Damn. Just when I was nearly finished. Looks like another late night." He watched as Sodia left the room. She had good intentions, but even he was struggling to keep up with this workload. Another knock came, but to his surprise he realised it wasn't from the door this time.

"Still working? You'll pass out from exhaustion at this rate." Flynn wheeled around at the sound of Yuri's voice from the window.

"Yuri? Don't worry, I'm nearly finished."

"Nearly? I just saw how much Sodia dumped on you just then. Would it kill her to fill in a few forms herself? And you've been working none stop all day."

"How did-"

"I've stopped by four times. You were that busy you didn't even notice. You," he said, swinging into the room, and pointing at Flynn, "need a break." Flynn sighed.

"Yuri, you know full well I need to finish-" He didn't get a chance to finish, as Yuri pulled him into a deep kiss. After a few moments he broke contact.

"Enough of a distraction for you?" All Flynn could manage was a "Mhmm."

Fifteen minutes later Sodia walked back in with a small stack of papers she'd missed before. She promptly dropped them, and slammed the door as fast as she could.

If nothing else, it explained a lot.
